You probably won't do nearly as much damage as I'm doing in this video, because a bunch of mods got nerfed. However the bosses / mobs HP also got nerfed. To make up for the nerfs you can supplement with a few different mod choices: Using Spare Mag is probably mandatory on bosses now. Prioritize "To The Bone" As that 15% anomaly damage is now much more valuable relative to all the other mods. Sharp-Eye & KingSlayer got giga buffed, they now increase your weapon damage by 45-50% Anomaly echo is a good budget mod for the same reason The Cycle got nerfed and is now 20% weapon damage. Still better than something like Dum Dum bullets, but if you stack a lot of FP / weapon damage it gets affected by DR pretty heavily. Alchemical Mastery is now 15% instead of 30% of your status power, so at the high end it's still 28% weapon damage @ 190% status power. How good it is definitely depends on your status power, probably prioritize other things, especially early on All of the status mods got nerfed. They're still good because there isn't really any better options. Mod Priority : Trick up the sleeve/toxic lead (mobbing) > Spare Mag (If needed for bossing) > To The Bone > Sharp Eye > Shatter > Euthaniser > Captain Hunter > King Slayer > Rad Therapy > Freezing Boost > Virulent Compound > The Cycle > Alchemical Mastery > Any other status mod / survivability (self medicated is insane survivability) > whatever else. twitch.tv/nicktew

the thing is, none of this will make any sense until they fix the stupid ways you get one shot-ed killed. people went out of their way to get cheese builds because the game was so unforgiving at Tier 15. if they make it harder, then they have to fix the enemies. otherwise people will drop this game fast, because Destiny 2 is a great placed right now with the Witch Queen.

I don't understand why 10% long range damage is more important then 10% weapon damage. Am I misunderstanding something about how those work?

Idk if you got a answer but if you stack regular weapon damage to high it’s affect by Diminishing returns so the long range damage will give a overall higher boost

I would definitely like a video that goes over in what order to spend your ascension points. Everyone always shows the final result, but never how to get there. Also so many things got nerfed about this build. :(

Depends what you’re going for, if it’s AP then cooldowns and anomaly power and such will be your obvious choice.

this build frustrates me so much to the point that I just got sick of it. kept running out of blighted rounds using either Toxic Lead or the version 1 perk, none of them were working correctly, so I ended up just using both, and now it works, but I've lost a slot which I could be using for Mitigation from death. I might revise the build because I'm not a fan of the twin Ice turrets and swap them out for Scrapnels. this is the build I use less, my Dev and Pryo is much more fun than my Techo.

Well done. I'm new to the game. I bought it last week on sake and have been grinding like crazy. Is there a method you use to climbing Apocalypse tiers quicker? I've made it to 12 so far but I've reached a roadblock with progression. I'm just curious about how you go about it since I'm just guessing at this point.

If you hit a road block, play with randoms, sometimes they have better gear to help progress

12 is the first wall you hit cus enemies are really strong you need to optimise your build and use mods that are needed make yourself tankier if you're struggling otherwise you'll need perfect mods to solo until 15 after that dunno didnt play the dlc yet

Question: why not do toxicologist and purge rather than the nitrogen capsules? It just seems like it makes more sense because of blighted rounds and turret. Please explain because I was confused as to why you need shorter distances for longshots.

Long range damage is where you tend to do your damage, also there is a sweet spot between long and short with the nitrogen capsules so you can get both damage bonuses and in the skill tree long range damage is boosted on the class

This is pre-nerf techno now. Every % status mod for toxic, freeze, burn, and ash got nerfed by half. Tier 3 mods were 25% are now 16% and Tier 2 mods are now 8%

As mentioned this is all pre nerfs, which seemingly nerf just about everything used in this video. Still interesting to watch just how many nerfs and how drastic they were from pre release to release. I mean how can they even say it is balanced when it is so much so soon? Why even have betas if you are not going to test so many and so heavy on the changes? I don't disagree with it all, but I do have some issues. Though mostly my issue would be crashing about once an hour when prior to Worldslayer it was almost never in 113 hours.

For the ascension points....Does anomaly damage work different than anomaly power? I can't find anywhere that describes the difference. Everything I've read says anomaly power is useless with this type of build because it only affects DOT... what am I and everyone else missing?

Anomaly power scales how much damage your base skills do, which doesn't affect twisted rounds. However the damage type of twisted rounds is anomaly damage, so getting extra anomaly damage does benefit you, while AP does basically nothibg

This is pretty good. Though the main issue I am having with Techno, at least for me, is that the reload ammo on kill while suffering toxic is not working correctly. It is literally driving me mad unless I use a gun specifically with Toxic Bullets 3. I am not sure why I am suffering with this but hopefully if I tweak my build a bit I can get it back to doing some good damage again. Thanks for this build video! This will help me a ton.

If you have mods that deal additional damage - like Lightning Whip - and that damage kills the enemy, it will not trigger the ammo regen

Just so everyone knows... Most of the mods that gave % damage... have been cut down by 40-60% (Like 20>12% type of nerfs) across the board .... so this build needs... a LIVE version of the build, thanks...

Yeh the nerfs feel awful if you start the dlc with an old fp techno but once you get the pax points and around 30 assension points you start to feel more powerful again, then you've got 6 pieces of apoc gear to add more power over time. Hopefully he updates it because the old values make it confusing

Realistically speaking this build could work. But after logging in today and testing my mid tree build and top tree build. They almost do the exact same damage. My toxic build was standard and mid tree was pretty standard. And there’s not a big noticeable difference. If I were people getting into techno I wouldn’t try this build until you have maxed out stuff. Having more survivability is far more important at lower level app I loose tiers than being a glass cannon.

True and a good point, although ultimately as frustrating as it may be sometimes learning how punishing the game can be even with some survivability is a good thing because later on you'll get punished for playing passive and not aggressive. This is especially true for solo players.

Long response incoming lol but IN MY OPINION It's unfortunately kind of a waste later, but can def save your ass early on. The problem with the healing skill is that every class has their own built on healing mechanic, and as long as they're acting accordingly they'll be healing themselves so you're better off using a skill that's either a cc or a damage skill. Even though outriders is no longer a speed game, the core remains in place where killing everything as fast as possible just ends up being more efficient when you could be either cc-ing (almost, if not just as, effective as a heal in this game) or damaging. And if taking that skill hampers your ability to kill then meh. You're always gonna get one shot melee'd by those stupid jumping blue guys. Those skill telegraphs still feel like a blatant lie that stuffs gonna hit you anyway lol. Keep in mind I'm no expert, and I've never really looked too hard into the skill and its accompanying mods/skill tree nodes. These are just my amateur thoughts to your question. BTW I love playing support/healer in games so believe me the fact that a true full healer build isn't a thing makes me sad, but I get it. Outriders is not that game.

@@novadz449 yeah bro unfortunately this build got hit SUPER hard, not his fault tbh. As for his pinned comment with all the mod replacements, it’s basically a completely different build compared to the one shown in the video. Half the mods have to be switched out essentially. FP techno is nowhere near as good anymore, plus it seems like top tree is more of a glass canon setup. Techno struggles with survivability, mid tree can solve that quite well. Try that out along with the mod replacements nick mentioned in the pinned comment and it might be viable who knows

Well i looked at your set and the borealis for me only has 50%extra dmg for frozen enamies,and the %dmg to frozen/blighted are nerfed for me,the t2 used to give you 15%dmg to frozen/blighted like in your build and the t3 was 25%,my t2 are 8% and the t3 is 16% i started yesturday and struggled with the build i had before dlc,i barely do 150k crits (2 man party) just at the beggining where before i was doing 2.6m crits so its a huge dmg drop,but ill lvl it and see if it improves later on

I got the early access. I can't even play it. I sit at the loading screen for 10 mins. the get to the character select screen, it tells me that the character I choose, if for any reason I lose connectivity I lose the character, WTF?! Thats big time BULLSHIT. IF I lose my character, you bet I'll get my character back. I didn't spend the better part of a year busting my ass on a character to lose it because of server connectivity.thank you Nick Tew, for you outriders coverage. I'm nowhere near being able to destroy enemies they way you show in the videos, because I never can find the mods I need......the tier 3 mods. I think I need 2 for my pyro build.

I get it, reading comprehension is hard, but it never says anything about losing your character or connectivity. It just says that if you start the Wordslayers campaign, and then no longer have access to Worldslayers (basically if it ever arrives to Gamepass and then your sub lapses), you won't be able to play the character even in base game content.

I dont feel like it's a lie at all though... It was the best by far before bow and it's gotten better so it's more than likely THE BEST techno build still and if youd read the full text it says insane damage GUIDE. You can take most of the tips to boost your fp from here and use it anywhere else.

I've played the DLC for like 100 hours already, this is the best build for techno. My gear isn't perfectly optimized but I explicitly stated that in the video. I've always titled my videos like this btw. If you don't want to believe this is the best FP techno build you can make be my guest, but I've always put out videos just like this one
