This sounds so nice as the main song fades away but the riff remains. Really invokes what I felt the first time I heard it.

You kept repeating a pick up note that Johnny doesn't play on the record but nice tone.

Ya, I know. That video is from a couple years ago. I've since sorted it out, but people enjoy the video. Thanks for the comment 👍🏻

Sure this is right? Sounds nice but different from the original.🤔

1 note is different in the first 3 or 4 bars when it switches over to this riff theme on the original. I just went back and listened more closely. It does seem to switch over to what I'm playing here after that. I originally posted this (and most of my videos) as ways to share what I had been learning on my own with my bass player bandmate who lives out of town. I post songs we are working on after practices also so that we can go back and listen to what we need to improve. I never really intended or expected this rough video in my pajama pants to amass 11k views, but I guess folks love their Smiths. I know I do, lol. Thanks for taking the time to comment. It did make me go back and listen more closely to that part of the song.

@@imaginaryboy4390 thanks for your nice reply. Maybe I am wrong but it sounded a little different to me. Keep on rockin. You are great. Smiths forever.😊

@@imaginaryboy4390I think it’s awesome how you recognized you were wrong and not only admitted it but learned from it. Lot of guitar players on KZbin get defensive with that kind of thing. Hats off to you sir and great playing
