OUTSCHOOL: How much MONEY can I make? (How these teachers make $100/hr!)

I’ve been averaging $60-80 per hour (I’m a few months in and at the moment this is a side gig), but I have a flex class that’s currently taking off so now moving onto the semi-passive income! Woot! I’m teaching keyboarding (typing) and science.

FYI, with kids going back to school enrollments are dropping. September has dropped enrollments tremendously. I was making $500 a day all summer since March but now I am lucky to make $100. I have very popular classes with one having 4000 saves. So don’t go in now thinking you will make that kind of money or you will be greatly disappointed. I was easily making $100+ per class. Now with all the kids zooming all day with their school it is difficult. I also have almost 4000 followers so just to give you an idea of what is happening for veteran teachers of outschool. I am going to keep putting out classes and know they will be popular so hope they will bring in students. This video is outdated for the times unfortunately. We knew this would change due to the schools going back but hoped it would be better than it is. Oops. I posted this under my son’s account. You can find my classes under Erinn Santore on outschool. I will post a link to my most popular class.

@@theboyoutdoors272 Thanks for sharing your insight! There is definitely variability in the classes as students return to school and some begin online schooling for the first time. I think that you may be onto something--perhaps non-academic classes are in higher demand. Time will tell!

There are different types of classes that you can choose to teach. Most classes on Outschool are live but you can do some pre-recorded ones, too! The pre-recorded ones are called "flex" classes.

can I teach like jin and mysterious stories. One more like kids health breathing & refreshments(will teach basic breathing exercises and discuss about health, nutrition, exercise) . and what about little adult topic like sexual energy transmutation, micro cosmic orbit, can i teach that to maybe like 13 to 18. Hi there! I imagine there are some class ideas in there that would be acceptable. Outschool sometimes will not accept a class listing that is health-related if it is too much like medical advice. I would definitely ask Outschool's team for their input! [e-mail] 👍
