You should also be able to download a mod that will knock you into another map in the roster in a chase. So if you were above the earth for example, you could get knocked down into the city.

Seeing how detailed some of these backgrounds are makes me wonder if there ever was a plan to make the maps even bigger, or to have the playing area be centralized somewhere else. Perhaps they could reuse assets in the future for some further map variety.
