Actually guys, that cable car ride Ada gets is 100% in the OG RE4, but Leon takes it instead. ;) Speaking of things inspiring RE4 stuff. The laser kill room was actually inspired by the original RE Movie (yes, the bad ones with Milla Jovavich). For as panned as those movies may have been.. It's funny one of the best games in the franchise took something from it.. Although, I personally really liked the 1st RE movie, despite some of its flaws, it kept the essence of the RE games imo. But yes, the original RE4 came out un 2004, the original RE Movie came out in 2002

I haven't thought about their 3 Ways to Play Hitman videos in ages, but the title of these keeps reminding me how good they were. I imagine there's a decently-continuous stream of user-made content for Hitman, even if there isn't much official stuff (or official stuff that makes gaming news or whatever), but I wonder whether it was more the metrics, personal preferences, or filming/editing requirements that killed its prevalence in OX content. It was GREAT stuff, but getting 3 playthroughs of one level and then editing them all into one reasonable-length video must have been a lot.

I don't recall anything about Wesker needing people to think he was dead at this point in the timeline (original or remake versions of it), just in the original, and that was more of a retcon when Capcom decided they wanted to keep Wesker around. Though, on the subject of Wesker solo-ing this whole thing, I'm currently doing a playthrough of the main game where I use the trainer to play as Wesker instead of Leon. It's pretty hilarious.

Where he’s basically neo and can dodge bullets,run at super speed to where it looks like he’s teleporting, has superhuman strength, and regenerative abilities? The only other person with powers that defeated wesker was Veronica, where he could’ve beat her if he used his abilities + his gun but let Chris deal with her and ran away probably because he’s lazy.

@@wisam111 ​The trainer lets you play as any character (even Ashley), each with different strengths and weaknesses (except Ashley, it just gets weird there. This is due to animation limits, many characters cannot use or reload certain weapons). They all use the standard main game inventory, and Wesker straight up cannot use a knife, but retains his counterattack and command prompt melee abilities. And if you enable it, any character can use their Mayhem mode at will without a time limit, at which point yes, Wesker turns into an absolute monster. Animation limits are a factor though: enemies in Mercenaries are technically different from main game ones, so Hunk's neck breaker doesn't work properly and the Chainsaw Ganados don't stagger properly from Wesker's combos (they still die pretty quickly), and I think enemy health is different between modes as well. The trainer has an option to basically swap the main game enemies with the Mercenaries ones, which disables their ability to grab Ashley (I don't know yet if this just prompts them to go straight to killing her).

That laser grid is a reference to the very first Resident Evil movie from 2002 and it killed it's victims in the exact same way as in the movie. It's also not the first time that it's appeared in a Resident Evil game, I believe it also appeared in the Umbrella Chronicles.
