A few gameplay tips for OutsideXbox or anyone else playing the game: 1. The ghost's room should always be colder than the rest of the house. Not necessarily freezing, but colder. There was an issue where it didn't happen sometimes but the creator mentioned in a patch note that it was a bug and the ghost room should always be detectable with a thermometer. 2. Every ghost will set off the EMF reader on some level. Only specific ghosts can hit level 5, but every ghost can hit 2-4. For it to react above level one there needs to be ghostly activity of the or you need to be standing on the ghost as its active. And since the ghost can move about the houses/locations that means you can get an EMF reading outside the ghost's room. Don't count 100% on the EMF reader for finding the room. 3. The ghost can trip the circuit breaker, but the circuit breaker is also broken if you turn on too many lights. In the first house the breaker went right after Jane flipped a lightswitch, so it's most likely her that tripped it. 4. Crucifixes don't stop hunts, they prevent them from starting. If the hunt has already started, the crucifix won't help you. For a crucifix to stop a hunt, it needs to be on the ground and within 3 meters of the ghost when the ghost attempts to start a hunt.

Would definitely like to see you guys play more of this game. Seems to be a well done. I also think roping Ellen in would be a fun idea, though being in the truck would likely be best. She can let you know when there's spikes in activity, monitor your sanity, and look for orbs on the camera. Nice and safe without any ghosts. ...though...she would be able to see the ghosts on the cameras and watch as they murdered you...

That would be game-breaking. If dead teammates could pass on to their living counterparts exactly where the ghost was, everyone would just tempt ghosts into killing one member to get the eye on the inside.

The spinning door and crawling ghost in the farmhouse are the coolest new features I've seen in any videos of this game so far. Very creepy. Cannot wait for more OX Phasmophobia, even more so if Ellen agrees to tag along. If there is a pizza party every time Mike dies in a game, have you all finished eating the piles of pizza you must have accrued from the Among Us streams?

The developer added a copy from clipboard option to the game with the last update. This allows you to copy the code from somewhere, like Discord or Zoom, and when you go to join a private lobby, there is a button at the bottom that will get the code that you copied and immediately put you into that lobby without showing the code.

To be honest, this stream has inspired to revisit my novel writing. 💜❤️💜❤️💜❤️ I kinda gave up on it after my "friends" all up and abandoned me because I told them I had low level Aspergers and they didn't want someone as broken as me around and primarily, The Novel was about me and them battling evil on this Earth. But our Earth no longer exists in my novel continuity due to events prior of the novel that I do reference but that doesn't matter. I won't go into all of the novel synopsis here but it's based on a parallel Earth, an Earth completely at peace, without war or current world problems. And there's a parallel set of dare devils inspired on the members of Outside Xbox/Xtra and Eurogamer... In the prologue, the event that kicks of the Darkness from our world on the Peaceful Earth where the parallel versions of Jane, Mike, Andy, Ellen, Luke, Johnny, Aoife, Ian, Chris and Zoe; (I don't use their real names, they're just inspired on them.) They all travel to Switzerland to explore an old derelict complex deep within the Alps, that once was a gaming hotel called the E3 Complex, a gaming convention all year round circa 2014 but deep within the Complex lies horrors and darkness that will set off the events of the Novel. So thank you for the inspiration I desperately needed, Mike and Jane. 😊💜

Had one search done for the word, Skonked basicly means "high on Marijuana" so "Are you skonked?" would be like asking the ghost if they are high on weed. So it aint PG18 or nothing. Funny idee the ghost is angry at being called a pothead though :D

I still don't understand how the crucifix is meant to work. From the comments I've seen, you have to throw it on the floor, but for it to work, you have to do it at the start of the hunting phase but before it's attacking you. Outside the hunting phase, or after it's started its attack, it doesn't work. But in all the streams I've watched so far, there's no reliable way to mark the start of the hunting phase other than the ghost attacking somebody.

According to the developer (Who tweeted streamer Bruce Greene about this.) the way that crucifixes work is that when the ghost is hunting, if you throw it within 3 metres of its starting point, then it takes effect. It wont do anything if the ghost walks in to range of the crucifix, and working out what is 3 metres from that point is quite difficult, though its usually the room that its haunting.

As others have pointed out skonking is a reference to getting high. If you do a quick search for it youll find the source which both puts it in to context with other similar references, and shows an image thats been very badly photoshopped to have the term inserted in some code from the 'datamine'. I.e. its just a stoner joke.
