Are your VAs employed or freelance? The fact they invoice you implies they are freelance. Laws in different pairs of countries will differ but would be very interested in your model.

Hi what do you do when your VA is asking a 1 week advance pay? or asking loan from you because they cant manage their own finances , they dont put money to their insurance or tax etc.?

Hi Junlyn, we would review such situations on a case-by-case basis. A lot of it would depend on the relationship we've established with our VAs. We have a team that works closely with all of our VAs, to be in constant communication, to understand their backgrounds and family situations. You should do what you're comfortable with, and maybe take into account how long you've worked with your VA and how well you know him/her.

does your virtual assistant provide their laptop, internet , or what happen if their laptop is broken do you pay to fix it? because if so, then they can just use a broken laptop excuse so you can send them money?

All of our VAs are expected to have their own computers and access to the internet - including backup arrangements. Our clients are not expected to pay for their VAs to purchase or fix any equipment. On the other hand, we've had clients who have sent equipment (such as laptops or monitors) to their VAs as a way of showing their gratitude. But it is more a gesture of thanks and appreciation, rather than making sure they have the necessary set-up.

Hi, did you hire someone on your own? If so, then it depends on the arrangement that you have made with your VA. Another option would be to hire someone through an agency. Agencies can help you take care of most of the administrative work and would generally require some form of deposit or initial payment.

Hi the recruitment team will identify suitable candidates based on our client's requirements. So if a client feels that experience is less important than other attributes (say specific skills or characteristics), then it will matter less if you have no experience. But if a client wants to hire someone experienced, then you might have a lesser chance of being selected for an interview. :)

On platforms like Upwork, it will specify how much they earn per hour (depending on experience) on their profile. A lot of the time you can negotiate a lower rate. You’ll pay them between $4-8 per hours for a cold caller. Admin worker will earn $6-$8. Depends on what their job experience and job area of work.
