She does not want the fame that all the other singers want. She want to make others feel good from her music. As far as other singers.... to me there are no others. I am 58, and have heard all the others before her, and to me, she is THE BEST female vocalist on the planet. I keep hoping other will recognize her for this also, even though so many do not know of her. Its a shame to be this good and not have a world class award for it. She is Mariah, Celine, and Whitney all rolled into one, but still better. Also... to me... she is THE BEST Woman on the planet. The Christian in her, and the care she has for everyone else, you just do not see much of these days.

Sohyang makes me proud and feel patriotic! Understanding Sohyang's life story makes you understand why Sohayng comes across so inspirational through her voice. It didn't just come from her ability but her soul. This is the most heart-felt reaction to Sohyang's singing American Anthem I have seen.

I have been a huge fan of Sohyang for at least a couple of years now and she is absolutely wonderful!! One of my favorite things about her is she is a born again believer! BTW.... Mariah Carey is the American Sohyang. Maby! LOL

Sohyang said Chris Paul came over to her afterwards and told her that it was the best National Anthem he has ever heard. Chris Paul is considered one of the best point guards ever to play the game and a future hall of famer.

Well... I wouldnt put Sohyang against Mariah Tbh. She has a beautiful headvoice and the best high belting abilities but Mariah is a whole package. You US people should respect more what you have because she is one of the best vocalists in the world. React to Mariah Carey in Tokyo Dome 1996 or madison square garden in 1995 pr even her concert at St John the Divine in 1994 and you will see the magic. I love sohyang too ofc and you should react to Everyone, Bridge over troubled water, oh holy night etc. shes amazing, just dont start comparing

Amongst those who have heard of her, she is considered as one of the greatest vocalist today esp. In the upper register. Inspite that she has kept herself away from mainstream music industry all these years due to her convictions towards her faith and her insistence on doing the kind of music that will bring comfort to those who need it. She is also a cancer survivor. She mostly sings in charity events and churches but has often been invited to shows for established singers like "I am singer", "Immortal songs" and "King of masked singer" etc. You might want to react to those performances as she is consistently amazing

With everything that is happening in our beautifu country right now... this video made me so happy. I am smiling right now like I havent smiled in weeks. I am a korean american. I cam to this amazing country in 1989 and love every piece of it. To see you both Americans getting emotional over our beautiful national anthem sung by a foreign korean whom I can relate to... If you like "Pantatonic & Dimash", Among Korean singers, there are many good singers besides "BTS. Black Fink. So hyang". "Forestella (Bohemian Rhapsody / Sound of Silence / Champion). Park hyo shin (wild flower / Good bye / breath), Park ki young (Nella Fantasia), Na ul (Memory of the Wind), Lim jae bum (Desperado / Confession), Im Seon-hye (Painelli's Rasha Bianga), Ha hyun woo (Razenka save us), and Jang sa ik (brier flower)" are recommended.
