I used this method at the weekend. My 12 year old and 9 year old son's helped me in my husband's absence. We did it! I haven't camped for over 30 years, and it made me look like a seasoned pro! We just need a good video to help us fold it back up again to get it into the bag! Many thanks!

Fortunately I found this video early on in our career as Monty owners, and we have used this method ever since. I've also directed owners of other tunnel tents, who struggle with the weight of all the poles using the pitching instructions provided with their tent, to this video. We have been complimented on the speed of our pitching and the fact that we have done so without arguing! There's no need for arguments if you follow this method. Thank you very much!

Thanks. Just bought a Monty 6 (our first tent). We were worried about just two of us putting it up but watching you do it by yourself has made us a lot happier! Now if I can just find a vid with closeups of the pole attachments....

I've put these tents up a number of times, and this is a much better way of doing it than the method I've used. I'll be doing it this way next time! Thanks. These are great tents.

Excellent video! I pitched my Montana 6 in about half an hour with no issues after watching this. There was a slight breeze but still didn`t cause any problems. Outwell should watch and learn!

Had it up in the garden. Actually no need to see the pole attachment. It's very straight forward all you do is stick the peg into the end of the pole. The side porch is a bit tricky but just look in the instructions(if you are having to force the pole you are doing it wrong). Worst bit was getting it back in the bag...but I even did that first time with a bit of tight rolling/folding. Looks great up....just need to do it again at the end of July in 'sunny' cornwall (i.e. driving rain/winds).

Excellent video, watch it a couple of times before every camping trip as a refresher. I am not quite as quick as the vid but quicker than if I don't watch it! Thank you.

Brilliant way of putting the Montana 6 up. We have put up ours 5 times now, but from next time we'll do it your way and use the saved time to drink a beer on your health :-) Cheers Jochen

We bought this tent on holiday and had troubles putting it away. When we got home and dried it out it was so much easier to put away and put up after these fantastic videos. Why can't outwell give you a DVD with the tent that shows you these things

Fantastic video - I just bought a new tent and was really worried about pitching it. But having watched this I am confident that I could follow the same approach and get it up quite easily. Not sure I'll be running around so much though....

I now have a Tennassee 6 and use the same pitching method. I'm still able to pitch it on my own. Once again thank you.

Great video..!! We have recently bought the Wolf Lake 5 and we were wondering if you would take the same approach in erecting the tent. I.E.:- Install the two end poles pull the the tent up and then attach the centre poles? In fact you couldn't post a Wolf Lake 5 erection process on you tube...??? Failing that, what are you doing mid June, and you can come help us...!! LOL..!! Once again great vid's and where is this campsite?

@chrissym179, the Indiana 6 is probably the sams size as the Montana 6. The Indiana 8, is defo bigger. I put it up on my own 3 times last year using the same method as the video. I think it's about finding what works best for you. A practice run in a park beforehand is useful, in fact it's a must. Good luck!!

Pitching from front to back? I usually do the other way round as on Outwell's instruction which is really difficult to pitch alone, because you ought to lift all the weight at ounce. This is great tip! Outwell should hire you to do pitching videos.

Makes sense. Wonder if the Outwell Tennessee 5 can go up the same way. With no help.

method looks brilliant, but how can you see from this far away?!?

Still the best Way to Pitch the Montana 6. Using this Method since years now.. the original Outwell Method is not very usefull. The Only Problem that always occurs, is that the side and roof poles tend to twist within themselves, making it hard to plug them out when you put the tent down.

Wish I was married to you. It takes me and my husband hours to put ours up.
