Awesome run. I ran a twin cat this morning. Your advice to run the duel props inboard made a huge improvement.

I used my Blackjack 42 to catch bas once lol. Speed boats are awesome you'll love it definitely addictive

The Caterpillar Animal Cat sure sounds amazing and it moves nicely also, where the first props 1817 and is that 49mm X 1.7 pitch ? I have Smokey Bear 🐻 as the pilot of my BJ42. 👍🏻

Yes, 1817, if I'm not mistaken, it's 48.5mm diameter so yeah, basically 49

It actually handled ovals better than I thought it would, she stayed flat in a turn, only caught a rail once I think it was the current that did that.

My method: I use the forward step as a reference, usually shoot for my CG to be just behind the forward step or 70% forward on the middle ride pad.. Depends on the boat's weight, prop and speed really Traditional method: Start with the CG 30-38 forward measured from the sponson transoms (not from the extreme rear of the boat) Hope this helps

I like the rebranding of the Cat , it really is the Killdozer although not sure you have a score to settle like Marvin did that fateful day in Granby CO . on June 4 2004 . [ so sorry Big B for opening a can of worms below , i had no idea of the response ]

I watched the documentary and i was amazed on how Marvin was screwed over by a member of the city counsel , they cut the dozer up for scrap , would of been a good museum piece considered how well he was liked and no one died except Marvin but he knew how the day was going to end . Have a good day .

Lol, the real "Kill Dozer" was a Komatsu D355A. Not a cat. 🤷‍♂️✌️

@@Wanted1069 I wasnt aware of what kind of Dozer was used by Marvin , i was just responding to Big B calling his Cat Killdozer , all i knew is the destruction it caused especially when he went after the former Mayor's house and the town hall , he really got even but gave his life in the end .

If i may comment something. You didn't give your "own prepped" props a real fair change. I was clearly running with forward cg and/or needed another tune. Thats also why i stick to the x series on the dom because with a high rake it would blow off the water if i dont change settings...

I've been working on this tune for about a week or two now for the 1817 props, next outing with this tune I'll be pulling that trigger and never letting up. SAW Those 1817's want to lift, so I finally got the stingers set right (I HOPE) I didn't want to change the tune for the stock props, I'll be doing further testing and tuning with the stock props later on.. Thanks for the input I really appreciate it.

@@IRONCLADRC well, thats makes total sence to me. Like i mentioned, i personally don't like to change my setup too often, meaning adjusting it to a different prop. Just because the extra risk off blowing off the water at high speeds. I personally like to think when its setup right for a certain prop type you only need to adjust your cg or prop or voltage to adjust to running conditions/go slower. I like to think this minimizes hi-speed crashes but could be wrong about that...

Do not touch the set up in that boat ita a great running boat. I like your second prop for ovals great job on that prop. But but I love your 1st prop for straight line . That is a super fast boat with that 1st prop great job on this cat.. BGFL
