OVE Decors Glendale Shower Door (Review and Demonstration)

This review will tell you about the Glendale sliding, glass, shower door by OVE Decors. We got these from Lowes. We are thrilled with this door and are impressed with the ease of installation. I recommend using both the paper instructions along with the video found on KZbin. You can find the video by searching Glendale in the KZbin search bar, or by going to / ovedecors1 .
Before the door arrives, gather needed supplies: pencil, screwdriver, drill and drill bits (1/8", 3/16", 5/16" tile bits), cutter, measuring tape, level, clear silicone caulk, rubber mallet, ratchet, and safety glasses.
Make sure you have a partner help you install, as the doors are very heavy.

The sliding door (right side) should be on the outside to prevent water from getting in the space between the fixed glass and the door. I think it is fixable by reversing all the hardware.

Was your wall out of plumb at all? I have this door to install on walls out of plumb about 1/3". TY!

You installed it backwards. Sliding door should be on the same side as shower head.

Hey Tick! Yes, we had a very narrow opening and decided to install backwards so we wouldn't have to get my hair wet everytime I needed to wash the shower. But good observation! The great thing about this door is the versatility and ability to be adapted to your situation.

BethE E how is it backwards? Is the door opening where you go in to shower supposed to be the other?

@@TechVHD The door is technically supposed to open at the shower side. But who in the world wants to enter a shower directly under the water? So we installed it the opposite way and would make that same decision again!

How is mold maintenance now? Have you noticed any growth?

@@dani8shawn We actually had to move out of state a few months after we installed this, so I'm not 100% sure how the mold maintenance has been going. Currently, we have a different style shower door, but very similar, and as long as I periodically spray bleach between the door panels, its fine. 😊

Yep! As stated under another commenter, we chose to install backwards so you do not have to enter in under the showerhead. And the door is made so you can install the waterproof straps as you choose! Win win!
