..Greg,, used to do this at bass ponds about 20 years ago.. most RC boats then were not strong enough to control after hookup.. found a tug boat that worked ok, had about twice the power ,, used a tip section off a broken fishing rod, mounted in back deck to troll with,...put a cork float about 4 ft. back to keep line from tangling on turns,,, then length of line to lure....I used small crankbaits....did pretty good...keep fishing pole along to retrieve when needed.... some years later there was manufactured bass and walleye boats available.... and a few guys started cash tournaments....

Bushcraft is wilderness survival skills. It is about thriving in the natural environment, and the acquisition of the skills and knowledge to do so. Bushcraft skills include firecraft, tracking, hunting, fishing, shelter-building, navigation by natural means, the use of tools such as knives and axes, foraging, water sourcing, hand-carving wood, container construction from natural materials, and rope and twine-making, among others. I don't see any mention of toy boats? Your one of a kind, and one in a million Greg. Subscribed for life!

I enjoy watching your videos and happy to see someone else who thinks outside the box. Fishing with a mouse trap and a remote controlled boat is awesome. When I was younger I would use 4"thick Styrofoam to set up ice fishing tip ups to test out. I figured why wait for ice when you can improvise. They worked great . I used a canoe to set and fish the tip ups. Got lots of looks but who cares it worked and I had a lot of fun. Looking forward to your books.

I think you might have mentioned bush gardening. I used to go out to some of my favorite spots and plant seedling. Tomatoes, Peppers, chilis, squash, cucumbers. Then camouflage the plants with a pile of brush, leaving lots of room for light to pass through. Later in the year, go to the camp spots and have ready-made dinners, even if protein was hard to get. Sometimes, the gardens would voluntarily reseed themselves.

My dad was in WWII, Guadalcanal. Armor. He took us to see the movie Sink The Bismark, about 1959 maybe. 🎶We hit the decks a runnin boy and spun those guns around. We gotta sink the Bismark cause the world depends on us. The Almighty was with the Americans and a plane pilot was able to get a torpedo into the rudder, Dooming the ship, unable to turn. God has Blessed America🇺🇸 land that we love. And our brothers to the north, Canadians.

I built a aluminum pontoon boat about 30” inches long , used a small trolling motor and a lawn mower battery for power , car door window motor to operate a rudder left and right , used radio controls servos like your battle ship. Used an outrigger to drag a fishing line connected to a fishing pole. We use to catch some huge cat-fish upwards to 60 lbs. a bobber made out of pvc pipe 2’ ft long leader of about 3 pound test to the bobber tie to the gantry so when the lite test broke from the fish pulling it then it was all on the fishing pole to bring it in.
