My stand has always been the same about the V60 it is the Underground King of smartphones in 2020 when it was released and even presently 2022 name one thing that makes this device bad and I'll stop using it! And please don't talk about the 60 hertz display that is not a con🤣🤣🤣. LG is the best when it comes to batteries and its no surprise for Koreans like me. LG Chem (one of LG's subsidiaries) and LG's Battery Subsidiary Company are closely tied to each other and is Korea's largest chemical and battery company and also the largest in Asia. LG batteries are also now being used by almost all EVs outside of China and is well on its way to being used in Teslas soon too. They also have a long term supply deal with Hyundai and Kia for their EVs which is a huge deal since Hyundai is the 3rd largest car manufacturer while Kia is 5th.

Also side note I heard from somebody reliable who was directly involved with LG's mobile division that they were very close to just giving it one more shot because the next version of the phone was going to be not only everything the LG v60 is but it was going to incorporate a high refresh an extra camera even better battery and it was probably going to be somewhat of a hybrid between the velvet and v60. The general consensus was give it one more shot with one insane device and one incredible mid-tier and leave it at that and see what happens

Truth be told, many smartphones built in 2020 or 2021 meet most of our needs. It isn't always necessary to upgrade a device if it isn't needed. The LG V60 is one such device. I had mine in the box unused for almost two years. Saw one of your videos, pulled my practically new V60 out of the box, reset it, downloaded Android 13 and updated it and now I use it as my second phone. It has performed flawlessly over the last 3 weeks. Thank you Tech Preacher for your advice.

I've been using V series phones for over 5 years now and just bought a used v60 for only 150 bucks to replace my v50, on which the only fault over 3 years of use was a relatively small dead strip on the touchscreen digitizer. If there's a better deal in the smartphone world right now, I haven't heard of it. They just tick all the boxes, remember that these were FLAGSHIP phones. The headphone jack with beefed up audio hardware behind it already makes it hands down better than any of today's contrivances from Apple or Samsung. I'll probably look for a like new or new example to buy and hold onto if/when this one breaks. They're THAT good.

I actually upgraded from the LG V60 to the S22 Ultra 256gb at launch. And although it's a better phone "on paper", I don't feel like I really upgraded. The V60 does just about everything my S22 Ultra does. The only issues I had with my V60 was the phone shutting down and not being able to power it back on for several minutes and problems with the USB type C charging port.

I experienced this switching from the LGV60 to the iPhone 14. It doesn't feel like much of an upgrade at all especially considering the price, but luckily I didn't get rid of the LG.

Preach it, Bro!! I just brought my LG v60 on line with ATT because it's an unlocked phone that isn't REALLY unlocked, so I'm in a monthly pay plan for 2 months so I can unlock it correctly. Having said that, I COULDN'T WAIT to get this party started!!! I'm coming up from my v30 that is FINALLY starting to slow down and couldn't stand having my v60 on the sidelines, waiting! I still have my V60 on android 10 (hiding behind the couch!). Been ignoring the upgrades for 2 years. No performance hiccups at all, so... But I agree with all the positive things mentioned on the video as I use my phone in the same fashion and multi-tasking on about almost every usage except when I'm on a call with the case closed. One thing that never heard mentioned on these videos, but I noticed that it has very strong WiFi reception way far from the source and it's super quick to sync bluetooth. Oh, by the way, I only do it when I forget to turn on Bluetooth in the car, but when I have a call that I can't ignore I open the case, pickup the call, turn on loud speaker, fold the case open and "clip" it on the seatbelt with the secondary screen against my upper chest. It has good mic, doesn't slide and I'm not holding my phone while driving, LOL!

Added this my favs as you are the best resource for the LG series of phones. My Daily is still my V60. So much so that I have 2 dual screen cases and parts to repair as needed- it's just that good. Cameras are great if you are willing to go manual instead of 'out-of-the-box' (which most consumers do). Support for a MicroSD- check. And Quad DAC... what else can be said. GamePass works like a champ off this phone as well. Just wish LG had stayed in the game...

I have the V40 too. Great device but battery life is very avg. My V35 is better for battery life. Now the V60 battery life is legendary. I get 11 hours on screen time almost always. Literally more than double my V40 + an extra hour( I get 4.5-5 hrs on V40). I only play wimpy games that don't draw a lot but I watch KZbin videos for easily 5 hrs per day. Make sure you don't need the extra battery life before you buy the V50. Also check to see if it will get updates beyond A12 bcuz V60 almost certainly will. V50 does have some features like better refresh and I think telephoto that V60 doesn't. I'm finding the extra battery life means just about everything to me. There's only one thing that is a bit hard adapting to is the weight of the V60. Don't fall asleep and let it fall on yo face. 🤕You'll be losing a lot of you choose a Velvet. Everybody likes different stuff however. Just wanna make sure you're aware of the best features of the V60.

The LG V60 and the LG Velvet are hard to come by in the UK. I've fancied trying their dual screen phones and case combos for a while now. Currently rocking a Surface Duo since moving away from the Samsung folds recently. I tend to use these types of devices as tablets around the house so camera's aren't that important and am liking the dual screen format for multitasking.

Got a V20 at the end of its first major US year for a hell of a deal, fell in loveeee. Ran it 4yrs+, only stopped using it when the usb c jack was too damaged to charge the phone, and it would barely turn on anymore, even with a battery externally charged and swapped in. Sure it got slow in 4yrs, but IT TOOK ALMOST 4YRS TO GET SLOW, to me, though. So, when I was looking to upgrade it was sad, but. Ran her hard. Put her away wet ha. 💗 Loved that phone omg. & There are still NO phones that wide out there, since... That picture aspect ratio, the fit in my hand... I still miss that stuff.... But I've been rocking a V60 and dual screen almost ever then, and it is such a close second omgggg... 💗💗💗 that dual screen, video and sound quality, camera... Gah! Puts it right up to the top. 💗💗💗💗💗 Tried a lesser mid-tier Samsung phone briefly btn the V20 & V60, though. And I really didn't like it, and can't even remember the model name at all anymore, ugh. One of the A-somethings I think? Only tried it, bc I was an S4 girl for 4-6yrs, way, wayyyy back. But that replaced my beloved LG Octane... 😉😉 That Samdung A whatever was just no, man. Ugh, RETURNED that shit, less than 10days. NOPE. Mistake. And this was 2020-2021, right? Can you believe that a Verizon store wouldn't also still have LG products, then? Weird and stupid, plus jerk salesppl, so I bounced to a Verizon that did have LG... The V60 and dual screen came into my life -again, right as its first major US year was closing, so once AGAIN, I got a hell of a price, on top of an already great friggin deal. I feel so lucky, and like I wont get that lucky again, it was so nice, with V20 and V60.... They've been the best phones I have ever had. No competition. My bf just got a Samsung 20-whatever the newest one is, and it STILL CAN'T COMPARE. And he lets me use it all the time, so no unchecked bias here sir.... 🤣 Gotta repair the hinge on my dual screen pretty soon, it hella floppy now ha. But it has really taken a beating at my warehouse jobs over the past cpl yrs lol... 🥺 and yet, still, everything works great, no noticeable degradation yet in either phone or DS. V60 100% still going so strong. 💗💗💗 ZERO COMPLAINTS. ....except that idk what ima do when it's time for a new phone again... 🥺🥺🥺 LG MAKE PHONES AGAIN PLEASE!! 💗💗💗💗💗 They made my first flip/camera phone. They made my beloved V20 and V60. My mom and sister's EnV3, my Octane... The list goes on! I need more LG mobile devices in my life!! 💗💗💗

I will be keeping this LG V60 for as long as I can ...I like the phone a lot it just meet my needs with ease ...the quad dac headphone jack is something special to me ... If you stream music on tidal master turn on the quad dac and 3D engine and then plug in a nice headphone from sennheiser, hifiman or even Philips Fidelio series...Good Lord .... It sounds so amazing! With expandable storage you can store so much music catalog...I'm definitely keeping this as my music phone...but becos software and firmware update will eventually stop I'll use other phones for my daily driver and keep this phone as my music device ...this phone has so much value for the price ... If you want a flagship device and you on a budget this is a no brainer ...Get this instead of a mid range phone ..it would be one of the wisest decisions you ever made ...no mid range phone with even latest features in 2022 can touch the flagship and premium feel of this phone ... And they cost more compared to what you can get this LG V60 for .... I highly recommend this phone even if you not on a budget but don't like to spend much money on phones even in 2023/2024. I wish LG continued making phones ...maybe just high tier mid rangers and leave the flagship scene for the Samsung and Xiaomi et el... till they can figure out a better marketing strategy instead of closing up the phones unit altogether...it's quite sad ...hope maybe they make a come back ...

WOW you posted this yesterday? I am due for a upgrade baaaadly. I have had the Galaxy S8 since 2017 and I love it, but I need an upgrade. The big feature I love about my phone is being able to swipe from the right of my screen from any app to pull up various apps that I could go to without having to go to the home screen...are there any sort of shortcuts to apps that the V60 can provide me as an alternative? I'm sure in every other way the V60 is better than the S8?

I said the LG 5 was way ahead of its time first phone with that awesome option removal battery Style the added camera device option and of course the first phone I have a c charger and if I remember correctly the LG V60 was the first dual screen that also allows you to use the bamboo stylus pen that's compatible with Windows 10 which is amazing and of course still one of the best cameras ever

I really hoped and wished someone like Google purchased or absorbed specific features for both software and hardware from LG when they disbanded that I consider essential. Obviously the first being the quadac in the option of a headphone jack. No matter how hard I try I just cannot part with it. Obviously expandable storage is in my opinion priceless. The amount of versatility and flexibility it gives you is sensational. The microphone technology and manual camera functions are also light years ahead still to this day. On the v60 specifically the external speakers are amazing especially when you activate LG's 3D engine it just gives it a certain level of immersement. I can picture a version of a pixel maybe even the A model incorporating specific things from LG making it the perfect mid-tier beast / King.

I have lg v50 (refurbished) before and yeah! I'm so satisfied, I play games a lot, like call of duty and apex legends mobile. The design is very premium and the display is great, every time I play music you can feel the beat through screen I'm so hyped, I'm so proud of my lg v50 before and I always flex it to my school because I have the great device. I hope lg will come back on smartphone manufacturing, lg had bad start up pricing and advertising reason they f#cked up. few people buy and didn't know even know lg smartphone exist.

If I get V60, I would mainly get it for the second screen compared to other similar spec'd, similarly priced smartphones. My line of work would benefit from double the real estate of a smartphone screen and I plan to keep it always with the dual screen accessory whether or not I need the second screen all the time - would save me time and the need to always connecting-disconnecting the display or carrying it separately. Is it possible to fold the screens the other way around (not facing each other but facing each's back), does the hinge fold both ways? So each time it is taken out from the pocket, I am always facing the screen no matter the main one or the second one without the need to open the fold. I am thinking it would feel a little too uncomfortable if I would need to unfold it every time for some quick simple tasks like making phone calls, texting, a quick map check or web browsing.

I dropped my V60 3 weeks ago and have been looking for a dual screen set up since then. See some for over $400 now but, idk. I mostly use it for its audio capabilities and it seems the ROG phones have now come to par with LG on that front. I do have a Korean variant LG V50(dual screen) but, it doesnt connect to any 4G network in the states. I have a LGX dual screen but, it's bluetooth audio capabilities are glitching out with my B&W Pi7's. I miss my LG V60.

Have you looked for a possible cause for the 4G problem? Maybe you need to reset your network SIM settings?

@@WildernessLVR Last I remember reading about why it doesnt work in the States is because it lacks those 4G/LTE bands we use here. It was running fine on 3G till the whole shutdown.

Bro, i use LGV60 right now.. this device is fantastic. The display, camera, battery life, build quality, reliability are excellent. I dont mind the 120Hz,, not a deal breaker for me. The quality of the screen itself is on par with the current flagships. This device is a monster in hardware and software.

Love the speakers too. The only phone I had that rivalled the sound but wasn't quite as good was Blackberry Passport. V60 throws sounds around like it has surround sound when a recording is good.

I bought LG V60 because I saw it from my friend, the display and dual sound are beautiful, and the camera is just right, the photos are vivid, and the photos are truly taken at 64 megapixels. Now I bought acesories for dual screen, this is okay because if you want to have dual screen, you just put v60 and you can have dual screen. I love it

There's something about this 1080 display is everybody has something about a smartphone that they value more than anything and me I really like watching a good picture when I'm watching content on KZbin and with the vivid colors and deep blacks as you always say LG's panel is special the v40 to this day is one of the best smartphone screens I've ever saw that LG has in the v60 it looks incredible and a lot better than other 1080 displays on the market I think it's just LG's experience with OLED panels in TVs loaned a lot of the technology to the smartphone

Hell yeah I've had the phone for 2 years unfortunately I lost it I got a replacement and I swear the replacement is a different type of LG V60 it doesn't read off any 5G and it doesn't give me FM radio like the other one did I swear Verizon gave me a crappy version just to make me upgrade but still this phone kicks ass and was way ahead of its time just like the LG 5 was way ahead of its time. Considering the man holds back on technology so much the first touch screen computer came out in the 60s and that's just what they tell us

In my case the LG V60 started to be slightly buggy. After 2 years of use I have to restart my phone everyday to make it work like a new device. But this is just a new software problem since these bugs started to occurr since the latest android 12 update :/

Hate that you lost Widevine L1. I wonder why? My V60 is Stock T-Mobile Updated to 12 And I still have L1...........Maybe A hard reset could help. As for the rest there is simply no current cell phone that would not be a downgrade in features.

Moto ace 5g one plus nord n20 pixel 6. Pixel 6a. Pixel 7. Revvl 5g. Moto g stylus 2022 5g. A71 5g. One plus 10t 5g. LG stylo 6. Nord n10. Galaxy note 9 and note 8. Revvl v plus 5g. Tcl stylus 5g. Iphone 14. Got rid of all of them. Lol bought LG v60 cash 180 brand new and I have not looked back and andriod 13. I'm OK with security patches I feel it will receive but as for andriod 14 😢we will see never know!!!

LG started making awesome phones V30 onwards.. unfortunately they did not back that fantastic hardware with software upgrades and support. They did not have to close that mobile phone division.. just provide users with upgrades for upto 5 years or major Android versions and everyone would have been happy. I have a V30+ and looking to get V60 in 2023 coz my V30+ is still as good as when I got it in terms of battery degradation, display, build durability.. it is solid.. so I want a V60 now.. I do not want to spend over $1000 on a phone and V60 does everything for $200

i need to comment.i have the lg v60,iphone 13 pro max,huawei mate 20 pro,galaxy z fold 3 and galaxy z fold 4.after putting them all 100% battery drain test together.the galaxy z fold 4 last the longest followed next by the iphone 13 pro max.heavy use the iphone got 10 hours 21 minutes and the z fo;d 4 got 10 hours 30 minutes.

I'll drive the V60 till the wheels fall off. When mine got drove over and shattered the screen. I got a used one and I have noticed some real quirks with it. Not sure if some of it is because it is my first t-mobile brand. Or because it's only the second used phone I've ever had. But if the screen is still good when I have to replace it. Im gonna pay to have them out the screen from this one back on my original V60. I think Samsung may have bought the concept for the last LG prototype "slide" or "rollable" I think.

Yes that is strange I remember when the LG V60 came out and supposedly there was a few different models and at the time Verizon had the UW band and T-Mobile did not. So I went with Verizon. I wonder if I bring this phone to T-Mobile as a new customer if they could get this phone upgraded to Android 12. Thanks again
