Beautiful before and beautiful after! Mandy, thank you! THIS is exactly what I wanted to see. I have some of the same issues Angie has and watching this tutorial has given me great tips and techniques. I have severely hooded eyes so this is a huge help. I just want my eyes to look more awake and not like I haven't slept in a year. I've got to work on tightlining. Angie's eyes just popped when you added it. Absolutely beautiful.

I am so happy it was helpful Brenda. I always tell my clients to start practicing tightlining right before they wash their face at night. That way if you mess up, it's not a big deal. And eventually you get the hang of it. I did this for 2 weeks when I first started tightlining, and now I can do it with no mirror in a matter of seconds. xoxo

Great tutorial! I’m 51 and in the last 2 years I’ve had to change my makeup application quite a bit. Less is definitely more. I love what you said about working with what ya got. I’ve never liked doing the outer 7 on the eyes because it felt so unnatural to me plus it always looked off on me although I have slightly hooded eyes thanks to gravity. I think the other big change for me are my brows, I’ve had to stop using a pencil altogether because I felt it looked to harsh no matter the color I tried. Powder is definitely the way to go with some brow gel on top. Would love to see more over 50 tutorials 😉

Great ideas for us! The one lid color is definitely worth trying... And I'm grateful about the advice to not use bronzer.I never could make it look good... Does contour make us mature woman look muddy?We only ever had blush when I was younger.

Great tutorial. Make-up should enhance what you already have, which is what you accomplished here. Your suggestions are not as time consuming. I’m a substitute teacher taking care of elderly parents and don’t have a lot of time for makeup. For my brows, I actually tried microblading and love it. I was skeptical at first, but I never have to worry about my brows. Huge help. I just turned 53 and a lot has changed. Always look for videos that help me manage those changes. This was a beautiful look on a lovely client. I would love it if you do more makeup application techniques on more mature models, and especially for brown eyes. I always feel that it makes it too dark when I do the one color wash and I need to have a light color on the mobile lid. Colors of eyeshadow are always hard for me to choose, so your suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks for saying you don’t have to fight against what you have - I have wasted so much time trying to “learn” the windshield wiper across my crease, only to realize (after watching Bobbi Brown do an every day eye) that patting it on is best - I can put it EXACTLY where I want, then blend - if I overdo it and it looks too harsh, I’ve been taking the concealer brush I used for my face (to stipple in) to go over the edges - it really makes my shadow look more natural - I figured it out myself, being frustrated not able to fix things, by thinking outside the box - I’ve never seen anyone use a concealer brush with residue concealer on it to buff in shadow, but it works for me!!!

Love the video. Something I something I would love to see you do is do another video similar to this S, for the 50 plus crowd But I would love to see I would love to see a natural luck. One that doesn't have foundation but instead perhaps a tinted moisturizer or CC or CC cream, And very minimal powder...... It's not opposed to foundation or anythingI just think that not every woman wears it. And although I think you did a lovely job on this lady Personally it looked a little heavy and I would rather have something where there aren't so many steps and products do you think that's something you could do for us?

Hello. I am new to watching your videos, just found you yesterday. I am binge watching. lol - I have just recently gotten to the age (51) where I have decided I need a different make-up techniques for my aging skin. Here is my question, I live in Phoenix, AZ and I find that no matter what make-up face products I try that after more than two layers of anything, I am just sweating off all my hard work. Do you have any suggestions as to what I might want to try to minimize the look I like to call, "melted." :) It wouldnt be so bad if our summer lasted two months like others, but this is a problem for at least six months of the year.

Sure! If you look into the Rephr 29 brush and use that to do a very thin line of a darker shadow, it looks less harsh, and the brush helps you not take up too much room on the upper lid. :)

The face is way to shinny - I think using a sponge to press into the skin might give it a better finish. Love the eye look

I’m 58. My problem is with mascara. I have so many, but they run, because of my hooded eyes. If I use powder eye shadow to prevent that, it flakes and my wrinkles show more. If I go for a creamier one, it runs more. Even with primer. It runs less, but the build up shows really fast. I do misencil eye lashes, but it costs 60$ a month. I wish you would adress this issue. I can’t wear mascara in the summer, because of that. How do women in warmer places do?

Have you tried a tubing mascara like the one I used on Angie? Those I find work even better than waterproof and don't run.

Yesterday, I tried primer and more hydratation on the base of make up like you did and it’s so much better under blush and everything. My issue is that I can’t go without eye cream, so I’m definitely going to look for tubing mascara♥️ Thanks for being there for us over 50 I turned on the bell to get a notification for your next video 😍

If you google tubing mascaras, you may be surprised how many are tubing. Good luck on your search, and please let me know if the mascara helps.
