Over 70 sheep help maintain this N.J. university’s solar field

Princeton University’s solar field is helpfully tended to by Julie Bishop and her flock of sheep - that graze on the greenery from April to November. The 27-acre field, which opened in 2012, has more than 16,000 solar panels which produce enough energy to power nearly 8,000 laptops. A second series of solar arrays, roughly 3 acres in size in Plainsboro, also benefit from Bishop’s sheep.
