This was a lovely calm video. I was particularly glad to get a closer look at Harlyn Pier, a layout I stumbled across pictures of years ago and which I dearly want to recreate as part of a route in Train Simulator.

One thing I learned from this and speaking to James Hilton over on his blog, I really should have attended on the Sunday. Oh well, I own some lovely performing Conrail liveried locos, (soon to become NS locos,) plus a Ruston, even if it is an 07 rather than a 48.
@trainswithnickyt Жыл бұрын
29:20 they really are amazing looking kits, I have an engine shed to build from them along with a signal box interior, not to mention some window frames for my W&U tramway building

56:00 Heck yes I'd like to see a collaboration project between you and Jenny. It was a great pleasure meeting both of you at the show, despite not expecting either to attend and I think a joint project would be grand.

35:20 I've never seen a British S gauge layout before. American Flyer has been known for making S gauge since 1945 (although Lionel now owns the brand). The Thomas Trackmaster motorized toy trains are roughly S gauge so those could potentially be kitbashed into proper S gauge rolling stock. 38:50 I love that train of new London Underground stock heading to their new home. I would love to see you do a collab with Jenny Kirk one day. Maybe even one with Sam'sTrains?

Whilst not a railway modeller myself I greatly appreciate the huge efforts that go into these layouts. One thing I have always been curious about is getting the scale speeds right so they look good on a layout but don't have shunting engines etc hooning along at 60mph?

It's a fine ballance of making progress and looking correct!

I enjoyed that, about to start making my way through my own footage. I somehow completely missed Rushwick which was a shame. My daughter and I got very little footage of Leigh Bridge as it was very popular and people seemed content to stand and watch for ages. I must have been stood next to you at Barton Road when the PA sounded as i was filming the same train at the same time, but didn't clock you at all. Would have said hello if i had.

Will you be at this year's Doncaster show?? It was amazing to see all of that, I'm planning to go to the Saturday 10th this year, wondered if you'd be there so I can try and come and say hello. Either way it looks like an amazing show, and I can't wait to get there and have a look around. So much inspiration for what to add to my layout plans too.

Seeing just the layout of Overlod, I cannot wrap my brain around either A) being in the armed forces at this time or B) being a dockyard or railway worker having to take part in this. The most fascinating, or terrifying, aspect is that compared to the real thing, this layout is tiny
@lmm Жыл бұрын
Yep. It's such a useful tool for visualising, without even talking about it being an impressive layout
