28:32 The owner of the gallery said that people buy photos when they see one and think "Never in my world will I be able to take that photo." What buyers don't understand is that they could TAKE that photo. They just don't know how to EDIT that photo in the same way. Basically most successful photographers are not necessarily good photographers. They're just good at editing. I think good photographers are rare, and by photographer I mean people who have good composition and lighting skills and produce amazing, thought-provoking images without needing to over process them.

Scott, I think you should produce a class on over processing your photos as you talk about in this video. I, for one, would love to view this class.

Is there a lesson on how to make skies and add them to Lightroom, or photoshop?

I love using Fine Art America to sell prints! Their print quality is amazing and the platform is simple use as a seller. And my clients say it's easy to use to buy prints. It's where I sell most of my prints.

In Europe, that is in the Balkans, people don't buy photos for the reasons you already stated yourself, "why should I buy yours when I can do the same with my mobile phone". Another thing, when they see an artistic and beautifully processed photo, likes it, shares it, comments positively.. but again no one wants to buy it, but if you offered them for free, everyone would take it. If you want to make a living from photography, then you have to do wedding photography, baptisms of babies and birthdays, because 90% of photographers are hired for that work, and that's where the most money is made. Artistic photography don`t exist in the Balkans.

Finally!!!! Someone says something that those of us looking to make a name for ourselves and hopefully get gallery recognition can actually use. There are so many "experts" out there that have sold hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of prints that are here to help you do the same. Then here comes the catch...all for the low, low one time price of $XXX dollars, because I can't give this price forever. That just makes me wonder, if they're so successful, how come they're selling their advice to help us rather than giving it for free? How many millions is enough??? Anyway, The tip that over processing sells was HUGE for me. So many times I read other photographers super negative critiques of the author of the video is showing how they took and processed the image. Just like Scott says in the video, they say things like "it's too sharp, that's not the real sky, it never looked like that it's fake". Now I know the look of Serge's photos and the photos I take that have Serge's style are the ones that actually sell. So phooey on all the photo realistic photographers out there. Let the over processors unite.:)
