This is a very important song in Babymetal history and not just because Su is here. Around this time, one of Yui's relatives was sick in hospital with a life threatening condition. The doctors thought Yui was too young to be allowed on the ward so she had to sit in the waiting room for hours. To occupy herself, she listened to Karen Girls on repeat and this led her to decide "I want to be a Karen Girl!". Later, she would audition for Sakura Gakuin with Moa by dancing to this song and was accepted and got to perform with 2 of the Karen Girls, Ayami and Su. At an early Babymetal show, they performed a metal version of this and Yui described getting to perform it with one of the Karen Girls as a dream come true.

Su was 10 at the time. "Over the Future" was originally commissioned as an intro song for the anime adaptation of the manga "Zettai Karen Children", which premiered on April 6, 2008. I believe the music video was recorded shortly after that, to help promote the release of the single in June 2008. They performed the song live several times, as well as their second intro song "My Wings", before Karen Girl's were disbanded when the anime ended in March 2009. Fun fact 1: Ayami, Yuika and Suzuka all get a couple of cameos in episode 40 of the anime! Fun fact 2: "Karen" is not referring to a female named Karen. It is the Japanese word for "lovely". Zettai Karen Childen = Absolutely Lovely Children

Good one. I believe Su was 10 (it was 2008 I think) and was the youngest of the three. Her friend Ayami (with the flicked up hair) is now a solo artist and is still under 5 feet tall (just to give you an idea of just how tiny Su was in this video).

I often comment in videos letting people know how tiny she is in real life, even as an adult! With "I'm not small" Moa next to her and the way they keep the Kami Band further in the background, an illusion is created to make Su seem taller. In the Rondo of Nightmare video, lifting her above the Kami Band prevents our eyes from seeing how much shorter she is than the guys. Knowing how tiny she is, makes her even more impressive to me. She may look like a tiny mortal offstage, but she is a giant metal goddess when she is on stage!

Quick Repo : Delay Viewing @ cinema theater for Budokan Day-1 & 2. Surprisingly Kobe used RoR on Day-2 when Su could not return to the center stage. It was great though. Su was alone but definitely rejoicing and Moa / Momoko were dancing with a big laugh in the center. Moa's facial expression was clearly saying "Su-chan! You did it again".😄 And only in Day-2 RoR, Su shouted ""We can be standing here owing to you guys. I really appreciate you all coming today again!". She made me move to tears again.😢

There is a whole bunch of videos on KZbin of Suzuka performing for a talent school in Hiroshima starting at age 7. Also she got into a musical when she was 11 (pretty sure that's how old she was). Her performance in that play is absolutely amazing. She basically steals the show. From what I've gathered babymetal was created around her talent. She was selected for her amazing voice to be the lead singer. Yui and Moa (although extremely talented) are there as support to enhance the performance and do their amazing dancing. I've been looking forward for this! I might have seen this video a few more times than I'll ever admit, but my brain still melts of cuteness overload. The worst thing is that this, and the rest of their songs, is kind of good... If I remember correctly Koba decided he had to do stuff with Su when he saw them perform at Super Saitama arena infront of 20K audience at an animefestival. That performance was shockingly good. You guys started to scratch the surface of Fox Hole, if LVT wants to blow her mind with cuteness she needs to see this Suzuka solo when 10 years old UwU kzbin.info/www/bejne/gnzGm3pqj9aWa8U .That vid was made 2008 and release on 2009 if I'm not mistake if Suzuka born in1997 then she was 11 years old. There's a couple of more vids of Suchan along with her sister Himeka singing even at younger ages, check out the Lion cover song from Macross anime, is my favorite, there's also a clip when she was performing at Actor School Hiroshima but that is with a bunch of kids so is hard to follow SuChan there. Great reaction I really like this song, Su was 10 in this video, Yukina was 11 and Ayami turned 12 4 weeks before the song was released. This was the opening for Zettai Karen Children, Karen Girl's also had a short cameo in episode 40 of Zettai Karen Children. Su has come a long way. Before being signed by Amuse she was at the Actors School Hiroshima and here she is performing with some of the other girls. She is in the dark blue to the right and already has her characteristic dance style. There is a big range of talent in the group and obviously Karen Girls and Sakura Gakuin was a big step up. I'm sure someone already said, since I'm so many months late to the party, but… This MV was filmed in Spring 2008. Ayami was 12 (6th grade), Yuika was 11 (6th grade), Suzuka was 10 (5th grade). Then, Su was the shortest. Today she might be the tallest -- Su & Yuika are both ~5'3"; Ayami is still tiny at 4'10.6"

Su is 10. Ayami Muto is about 12. The other girl chose not to join Sakura Gakuin so i forget her age and name but Su was the youngest. It was really only Su that was super young. Ayami Muto is just a really small human being. But if you listen to the song it's mostly Su. You can barely hear the other girls it's almost like they're backup singers for Su :) Ayami Muto is very funny, she's still with Amuse and is a singer. I think they're mismanaging her career. They should make use of her humor and acting skills not just her singing.

Yeah I know she always wanted to be an idol but that is a very competitive and saturated market in Japan, I think she has way more talent than that, especially as a leader that girl is a natural leader. Maybe a Jpop group would have been better for her, where she could have still been an idol but would have more opportunity to show off her other talents? Apparently she spent some time studying in my country, I didn't know who she was then, I saw a video of her performing at a cultural festival and I could have gone to see her :( an opportunity missed

Ayami parted with Amuse quite a few years ago, before moving to New Zealand for a couple years to study abroad. When she moved back to Japan a couple of years ago she resumed her singing career as an independent artist.
