This warms my heart that Cathy Ang took it to the moon (literally) in ONE take! And it makes me even happier that Glen Keane still holds strong to Howard Ashman's philosophy of breaking into song when all forms of communication fails

It's amazing! Also him mentioning Howard Ashman makes me sob!!! If you know the story behind him then you'll get it, it's so heartwarming that he still keeps Ashman's words to heart and really puts into context how much he his influence impacted everyone he worked with when he was alive.

Yeah, it's just a wonderful love letter of movie all around. Anyone else feel like the "Rocket to the Moon" sequence has similar vibes to "Part of Your World"? Yeah, it's another use of the staple "I Want" song in a musical but Rocket to the Moon feels particularly sisterly to Part of Your World; in theme and musical build-up as well as ethereal animation... It made my heart ache in such a nice way.

Honestly, this was one of the most BEAUTIFUL movies I have ever watched both artistically and emotionally. There is so much joy, but also so much heart aching TRUTH about loss and rebirth... at a time like late 2020 this movie was therapy I didn’t know I needed. Audrey Wells wrote this script but she died of cancer in 2018 so they dedicated the movie to her. She had a daughter and wrote this movie for her 😭. It hits home as i lost my mom at a young age too

This movie and what fei fei is going through hits me too close to my heart. Maybe my mother isn’t dead, but my dad did found someone else with a 7 year old kid, and i felt the same as her when she rejects the fact that her dad may marry another woman.
