Out of all the Madoka AMVs I've seen out there, this is definitely in my top 3 favourites, alongside with the Losing Control and Nefarium Psychologica ones.

OH MY GOD. I got chills at the end. I really got a sense of Homura's utter despair when the music picked up and I heard the lyrics "If birds fly over the rainbow, why, tell me why can't... I?" And the ending was PERFECT. With the moment her Devil form wings sprout!!! You are such a superb editor. I loved the Rainbow glimmering transition effects you used (which fit the song). The music choice was perfect. It was eerie and creepy, yet still mournful and sad. Your pacing was perfect. You had slower clips for the slow parts of the song and faster edits when it picked up. Matching the Birds to the "blue birds" lyrics was great. I could say a million good things about this. I seriously think you should enter a competition with these. You could win awards.

Rachel Bissell IKR!!! it's awesome! especially the parts "if birds fly over the rainbow, why can't i?" match the birds of homura's labrinth and her wings like madoka's makes it seem like homura's sad she can't go over the Rainbow she'll make her own rainbow and her own birds and she'll concur the original rainbow. Awesome!

HOLY SHIT. That was... god, that was incredible. Unexpectedly fitting (creepily fitting, in a way), and you found the perfect cover of the song for your purposes. That was just so epic and... intense, that I think I'm physically shaking! You protrayed so much in this video, and it tells such a strong story. I may be wrong, but here's what I was getting from it: Homura’s "Oz" is Madoka, and post-series/Rebellion, she's just so frustrated and angry and despairing about Madoka's siuation (and where it puts her), that she just becomes desperate to find her Somewhere Over The Rainbow. ... I did a poor job explaining that. But yeah, the video's a freaking masterpiece, in regards to editing and pacing, too. Now excuse me, I have to re-watch this like fifty more times.

This was really good! At first you started to lose me with all this fancy stuff (which I'm not saying is bad, quite good actually) but then close to the end when the vocals reached its climax it turned into a beautiful work of art, and that ending gave me chills it was just amazing!

I'm gonna be real, from the title and thumbnail I did not expect much, but as soon as I heard the minor key I went "Ooh..." and this is some of your best work yet. Intense and extremely fitting! If you want to work with Homura again any time soon, may I recommend the song "I Don't Feel So Well" by Vienna Teng? It has a distinctly Rebellion-like sound towards the bridge. No worries if you don't want to, though!

About 6 days- but I had the idea in my head way before

I have it all down to a method at this point. First render is strictly for clip timing and flow. No effects, only transitions and movement. Second is to add precision effects (i.e masks, fancy transitions, flashes, camera shake, focuses). Last is the overall filter and broad effects. With this one I had a fourth render jammed in the middle mostly just focusing on effect transitions and extra camera pans and shakes.
