"Over the Rainbow" | Andrew Lloyd Webber and Dorothys reunite for show's 10th anniversary

It has been ten years since Andrew Lloyd Webber crowned the winner of hit series Over the Rainbow, completing his search for a new Dorothy to star in The Wizard of Oz.
To mark the occasion, all 11 finalists from the hit TV series came together for a very special performance with Lloyd Webber himself - you can watch it above.
The performance features Amy Diamond, Bronté Barbé, Danielle Rayner, Emilie Fleming, Stephanie Davis, Jenny Douglas, Jessica Robinson, Steph Fearon, Lauren Samuels, Sophie Evans and Danielle Hope.

I loved how Sophie Evans played Dorothy in the West End and then ended up playing Glinda in Wicked. She melted the green witch and then she became her best friend 💖

@@Heeyitsmika in the original show they all had a "Dorothy dress" in a unique colour to tell them apart and would usually wear outfits in variations of that shade in their performances each week. In this video they are wearing their same signature colours!

Another thing the BBC should do to celebrate the 10 year anniversary of Over The Rainbow is a ‘Where are they now’ type programme. They did one after I’d do anything, you know the search for Nancy they also did. & it showed up to date like career info/ back stages stuff etc from all the contestants who were in How Do you solve a problem like Maria, to Any Dream Will Do, and then I’d Do Anything. Was really interesting, so could do the same with all the 11 finalists of Over The Rainbow. I’m sure I’m not the only one who would watch a programme like that. Graham Norton would obviously have to be the host/commentator or whatever you call it like he did the last time.

Sophie was wearing a moon necklace, which is apt because of the moon that a lot of the Dorothy’s sat on when they left. Being 2nd meant she didn’t get the same chance to sing the song on the moon, as the focus went on Danielle (who is amazing too). Well done to all!

How lovely..not just the song and how they did it..but to see 10 years later, how they have matured and hear that they have worked on their voices since the end of that series. Especially Danielle, Sophie and Lauren (who was always good). Also, I cannot remember her name, the youngest of them....how beautiful she is, now. having left that awkward 16 yo she was. Thank you, ladies.

LOVE THAT!! I was such a huge fan of the show and love how so many of them have gone on to have such great careers in musical theatre. I have seen Sophie in wizard of oz and wicked, Danielle in Les mis and grease and Joseph, Lauren in bend it like beckham and Bronte in Oklahoma! All absolutely fantastic!!

Hi..Im from Mumbai India. On Mothers day in May my son told me to sing anything. He plays the keyboard. I knew this song Somewhere over the rainbow. Ive been humming/ singing this song over the years mostly to myself never public .My son recorded it & put on utube with a video. Im so happy this song has come back. Its marvelous how God works. Love love love this! If I was a millionaire I’d create a show for each of them where they could all have a leading lady part and just spend my evenings going to all the different shows. How amazing would that be! So hope they do many more shows like this and we follow the journey to find a someone. In the meantime can they pretty please put them all on Netflix? This has made my day! I lived this show and watched it with my wee boy who was only 3 at the time. We said if Danielle won we would travel down to London and watch her. She did and we did! Its fab that so many of these talented women are having successful careers in musical theatre. I love this performance and arrangement. You can hear how much their voices have matured.
