A couple mistranslations here. Wing Synchron's effect destroys your zones. So it procs the effect to dump a Speedroid S/T and Clackernal's effect to summon another one of itself. The first effect of Clear Wing Wander counts the different types instead of nanes. And the second effect is a banish from GY to activate. The idea is to reset the soft once-per-turn negate effects of Crystal Wing, Crystal Clear Wing, and Crystal Clear Wing Over.

The scales are good because they can get you clear wing in 1 summon, which can definitely help with anti-nib lines if you get to send the dupligate, which can revive itself as a level 1 tuner, so crystal wing access. And if you get to the lvl 5 (which is our second synchro tuner since cork shooter), you revive the clear wing and that's full material for over synchro. Also all the playable speedroid pendulum monsters are lvl 2 (marble machine, dominobutterfly), so you can still use tuning if you didn't get the clackernel in your opener or have no speedroids in grave to banish (which you probably will tbh). Speaking of cork shooter, you can now actually use it's first effect to grab the trap. The trap can reset any clear wing negate, since all of them are softs. Also the 12 can float into regular CCW, which is a spell trap negate, can become unaffected by activated monster effects and can also add any wind monster if it's sent to the gy by the opponent, so you can add anything from follow-up to straight up handtraps in droll or mourner. Man it's so good. All in all, I'll definitely be tinkering with this stuff on db at least, this looks really promising. Edit: mandatory thanks to nova for manifesting new cards into existence. I love that while Wing Synchrons effect is "cheating out" Clear Wing, its also technically following the rules of Synchro Summoning: you're using a level 5 and a level 2 to make a level 7. If this effect were in the anime it would probably be called something like "Pendulum Tuning" (since Pendulum Synchro is already a thing).

Also the correct text on some cards: Mini clear wing destroys, not banishes, so it can trigger the second effect itself if you have a non-dragon wind synchro; The lvl 5 revives lvl 7 OR LOWER wind synchro; The trap pops up to different TYPES, not names, and yes, the second effect is a grave effect, it banishes itself for cost. Normally, I'd roll my eyes at yet another big boss monster with an omni-negate effect, but given that negating things has kinda been in the Clear Wing playbook from the beginning, I can give this one a pass. And it maintains the ATK absorption thing, so it can at least also be a big beater that floats.

Didn't we already get that relatively recently in Phantom Rage? Much as I prefer Phantom Knights to the other Yu-boys' archetypes, they really don't need anything at the moment. Also, it seems a bit naive to expect such of a given set--again, so comparatively soon after a coherent and impactful set(s) of new cards for the archetype--just because of the name and general theme. Arc-V borrowing elements from GX hardly means that a set themed after the OG Supreme King should have anything to do with Zarc at all.

There are some mistranslations on this website. Namely Speedroid Clear Wing Wander’s second effect is a “banish this card from your GY” to activate, and Speedroid Wing Synchron’s pendulum effect destroys the pendulum scales, it does not banish them.

If you're still playing Windwitch in Speedroid then your deck is already 3+ years outdated before we even start talking about the new support. If the best card from Synchro Storm (Cork Shooter) didn't convince you to drop the Windwitch engine, perhaps the new support will as you can't pendulum summon back out your sub lvl 5 pendulum monsters if you use Ice Bell's effect, compromising your combo.

You have to put in extra effort to get a scale lower than 4, and there isn't a single one with scale lower than 3 (besides their scale 1 which you'd rather normal summon), meaning you aren't getting to pend back those guys anyway. That doesn't mean windwitch is a good way to play the deck, what with rubberband shooter legal and terror top at 3, but it can be fun.

I would still stand by what I said that sub level 5 locking still massively affects the deck due to Cork Shooter being off limits which is a key combo piece and key reason to drop windwitch. Whilst Windwitch was fun at the time, Speedroid is now aiming for higher ceiling boards and more resilient combos just to keep up with the power creep so players really need to drop Windwitch.

They are encouraging us to play Windwitch with Speedroids in Duel Links. That is not a bad idea. You gain protection and drop some burn as a bonus. My fave combo for Speedroid is wiping the field via Kitedrake using a spirit pendulum and CarTurbo, then RESETTING KITEDRAKE using Fantastic Striborg's tribute effect, then wiping AGAIN with another CarTurbo. Using my pet combo using Clock Wyvern and its token as the needed 5 for Kitedrake on top is even better. I love this second setup because you can make Clear Wing Synchro Dragon instead, or Samurai Destroyer as I do.

Here we only care about clear wing, of which there are more: The og The manga version (fast dragon) Accel synchro version (CCW) Delta accel version (over CCW) The bike (clear wing rider) And not really useful, but is still here: supreme king version

Correct me if I’m wrong but I’m pretty sure Over Synchro’s second effect can summon another copy of itself since it is just a “clear wing” monster not another clear wing monster and there is no hard once per turn on the first effect so you can use the Omni again with the second copy. I think this guy could actually be really freaking good.
