This is my favorite episode from season 1. I love Waxer and Boil's interactions with the little Twi Lek, and it makes the Umbara Arc even more depressing :)

I believe in the episode featurette for jedi crash, the crew working on the episode mention that the whole purpose of the tactical droid was to have a semi-competent, disposable bad guy that could be copy pasted in a bunch of episodes to save on budget.

I honestly love how such a pragmatic choice also just makes sense? Like why wouldn't they create these disposable tacticans they could use instead of commanders that need months or years of training to be useful. It reminds me about the lore detail that larger seperatist ships require less crew than their republic counterparts cause they have droid brains that take over responsibilities that human crews would usually take up. Which itself also explains why the few times we see the bridge of droid ships, there are fewer droids than there are clones in a cruiser's bridge. If you got lemons, make lemonade.

Fun little fact about the girl that followed the clones all episode, she actually appears in an episode of Star Wars rebels, where she is seen wearing clone trooper, armor, and carrying a clone trooper pistol. I believe it’s in season two or three.

Yeah from what we see in the show the original standing forces of the GAR that were on Ryloth were wiped out completely in a last stand to buy the Twilek rebels time to flee from the main droid army.

y'know something I realized. It kinda makes sense we got so many different unique looking models for the twileks, considering the fact that twileks are canonically the second most populous race next to humans, and something the vast majority of the fans would recognize at a glance, so it'd make sense to put them in the background of almost any urban scene in the entire show.The lermen are only in like that one arc, so it'd make sense not to put too much work into them.

Hey, great to see another upload! I watched this again recently and couldn't wait to hear your thoughts. I love tactical droids and this was like my favorite villain in Season 1 because he was cold, calculating, such a jerk, and in the end got wrecked. There is a small detail about Numa though: the man she is with isn't her dad, but her uncle. So the importance of her taking the clones to her bombed out house gets ramped up like 1000%. Looking forward to the next one!

Did you know that in the Polish dubbing, Tomasz Bednarek is the voice actor for Anakin and Gingy from Shrek? Jarosław Domin voices Obi-Wan and Pinocchio, also from Shrek? Anyone else notice that Numa is the only small child we see in this episode? I mean correct me if I'm wrong. Why aren't there more? I can only hope that the rest were successfully evacuated and taken somewhere safe but this is Clone Wars so child death is entirely on the table.

Probably fighting against each other the entire time till the Republic got the chance to help the Twi’Leks again. They all died. I find it so sad that we barely have that much knowledge about Twi’Lek culture…or any culture that doesn’t have to do with the Force in particular. Like the only time we get some culture lore in in Rebels when Hera tries break into her home. Star Wars the Clone Wars is a Kids Show. **proceeds playing Mr. Blue** It’s a little unsettling seeing only Cody, Boil and Waxer have the orange markings. I know animation and stuff blabla but it also tells us who’s most important for the story. It’s definitely gonna get more complicated the more we go into the show and the Umbara Arc. I just love how Boil is reluctantly putting away his rocket launcher. If I remember correctly he actually uses a Rocket Launcher in the LEGO game. Gimme a sec…nope…wrong call everybody… The droids insult themselves as the comic relieves and don’t even get it.🤣 The flies also appear in the Clone Wars movie. It makes you wonder where they actually originated from. With Rancors we know they’re from Dathomir and the Reeks are from Salucami. But what’s with those flies?! Considering how Stalagmites and Stalactites are created it makes you wonder what kind of storms there once were on Ryloth. You see what I mean with the markings? I just love how the droid shooters look at each other in silent OH-OH! realization!🤣🤣🤣 Maybe the budget making those is just too big? After all creating miniature EMPs and expecting not to get them back for a reuse sounds like wasted credits. Imagine being in Waxer’s and Boil’s shoes right now. While both are not very happy with how they’ve gotta go through this battle you can still hear how sad they feel about the fate of those poor villagers and how unjustly they were treated. You just couldn’t not use the Wilhelm Scream, could u?🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 The immediate first conversation these to have with Numa you can see who’s the fun brother. Waxer and Boil meeting Numa = US Soldiers first meeting a young sister type of Manga/Anime Protagonist calling them Onee-Chan. Change my mind. Ah yes…Attack of the Copied Models. 9:27 If I had to input a swear in this episode it would be this exact moment. Real smooth Boil…real smooth…see what I meant by the fun brother? Waxer just glancing at Boil being like: You serious?🤣🤣🤣 Comparing Nuna’s situation with what’s currently going on makes it hit even harder…🥺 Gutcurrs and Blurgs are of the same species but evolved differently you can’t change my mind. The bunker might be how Numa escaped captivity. Obi-Wan, The High Ground Kenobi, the incarnation of Sass! Obi-Wan was like: You know what? I’ll let you suffer just a bit more. For the funsies. The Droid was like: You weren’t supposed to do that!☝️ Now I can’t I hear it. Thanks. No literally. Thank you. Tactical Droid hit 404! Thanks my hearing was never better.👍 Waxer and Boil are the 212th’s Best Boys!

Boil looks a bit... homosexual with that moustache. Also, why is Star Wars super inconsistent with clone amour? Like, they sometimes give the 501st, 212th, 327th, etc. their respective colours and sometimes they don't. It's super annoying to me! I presume that they did it just to make the important clones stand out. If I recall correctly, the clones in The Citadel have their respective colours. I think they got more consistent with phase II clones. Oh, and the Green Company clones have their amour coloured. This has nothing to do with the Clone Wars TV show, but I always found it annoying how everyone in the 327th in Revenge of the Sith have kamas with dual DC-17 blasters and pauldrons. Are they all ARC troopers or something? I'm a nerd, I know. Also, I think later on they start to differentiate tactical droids more by their paint jobs, emblems, personalities, voices, and the sex of their programming. Like how the tactical droid in The Citadel has feminine programming while the two tactical droids you've shown have masculine programming. Are tactical droids sentient? I don't know. Super tactical droids are very different from one another, but they all have masculine programming. Maybe they have actual brains inside them, but that's just a theory... A FILM THEORY!!! The inconsistencies in how many clones have paint jobs may be an actual piece of visual character development. As more and more clones vie for individuality over the course of the war, they would adopt names, get tattoos or give their armour a unique paint job to stand out. If so, that's a beautiful example of showing and not telling.

the armor thing is strange, as despite there being models for the 212th and 2 for the 501st which showed up in the film yet for like most of the first season they are kept blank, while super minor units like the frozen troopers in Trespass and Fil's unit are given unique paint jobs, as for the 327th in ROTS, it most likely was a stylistic choice, as for in universe reason, one isn't given but it is most likely due to the troopers of the 327th needing all the extra gear as they are sent into extremely dangerous worlds with no guarantee of support or resupply, pauldrons can provide extra protection to the chest and the kamas were derivative of the kamas worn by mandalorians to protect from the flames produced by jetpacks, additionally the pauldrons have a bandolier attached to them which is good for carrying extra ammunition like battery packs or tibana cartridges, and the dual DC-17's are most likely backup weapons incase they are no longer able to use their main weapons, while the DC-15 blasters have around 500 shots, which can be used up pretty quickly when you are having to fight off stuff like Acklays or Rancors in addition to droids.
