8:28 Hold on, I will not tolerate this Katie Lucas slander! I actually became of a big fan of her writing after watching all of the behind-the-scenes documentaries for the clone wars. This was the first episode Katie had a big hand in which explains some of the awkwardness I think, but Katie Lucas was actually responsible for developing 99% of the character exploration of Asajj Ventress, which is honestly some of best stuff in the clone wars. Katie also contributed to the majority of the development of the night sister’s culture, a clan that existed in legends already, much like Ventress, but hadn’t been explored with any kind of real depth. in the behind the scenes you can see how invested she is in bringing a lot of life in dynamism to Ventress, and talks about The things that inspired her tank girl. it reminds me a lot of interviews with George Lucas talking about his influences when he was writing Star Wars. The Night Sisters in particular strike a great balance between this genuinely dark Society full of fucked up magic mixed with a strong feeling of sisterhood and warmth and support which can be very hard to portray. Katie was even heavily involved with the Night Brothers ark which brought back Darth Maul, since Savage Opress was also at least partially her creation, and is listed as one of the writers on the dark disciple book which concluded Ventress’s story, and was originally meant to be an arc in the clone wars’s cancel seasons. She aught to be given more credit these days. She also wrote my favorite episode of the clone wars ‘The Academy’ with Korkie Kryze of the Korkie Kenobi theory fame!!! Aside from that little rant, this episode may be a little weak but it also sets up a very interesting moral dilemma that plays out over these two episodes. Though the chieftain makes an excellent point in this episode, and thinks much like I Believe a lot more like Jedi did before their vision was clouded by the Sith, the next episode also shows the shortcomings of such a philosophy in certain situations. if you always refuse to fight you are susceptible to being taken advantage of by people who have no interest in leveling with you, who are only interested in taking advantage of you. witch is a dilemma that sometimes hard to articulate. Not only that but this episode is also a huge benchmark moment in the development of Anakin and Ahsoka‘s relationship and the journey they share. All these and more I think are some good reasons why people come back to this episode✨✨✨

@@OveranalyzingStarWars I know right, it’s awesome!!! George Lucas has always tried to get his kids involved in Star Wars and out of them Katie Lucas is definitely and wonderfully the one that did so the most!!! not only that but both Katie and her younger brother Jett had fairly significant cameos in the prequels! Jett was the young Jedi Padawan shot down in front of Bail Organa and Katie was both the pink Twi’lek next to an un C-3PO’d Anthony Daniels in the bar scene in attack of the clones, but she also played Chi Eekway Papanoida, daughter of George Lucas‘s Cameo character chairman Papanoida in the scene where Anakin meets Palptine in the opera, and in a deleted scene where Padmé basically plants the seeds for the rebellion. ThePapanoida family were actually featured in their own episode of the clone wars along side senator Riyo Chuchi and Ahsoka. In fact the whole Papanoida family seems to be based off of the Lucas’s, although none of them voice their characters in the clone wars, but I still think it’s really cool!!✨✨✨

The Horror Comtinues!🤣🤣🤣🤣 In LEGO the Clone Wars if you visit the planet on which the battle takes place instead of getting an overview of it from space you’re right above the clouds something I always found cool. I guess it is to represent different parts of the army and who they are directly responding to. Like Grievous has a really sadistic one while Dooku’s is an obedient soul. I actually think their back looks like a Bionical mask. Like Master like Padawan.🥹 The shit Ani survived in the Clone Wars was the preparation for what he’d have to survive for decades. Kid…Rex she’s older than you!🤣🤣 Aayla’s story is one of the very interesting ones in the Star Wars timeline. Her Master was Quinlan Vos, she probably had something with Kit Fisto, she was sold as a slave by her own Uncle, lost the memories of her Master, fell in love with him, regained her memories, probably had something with Bly and was(depending on your sources) one of the Clone loving Jedi(that’s why her execution is so brutal or because she wasn’t a clone loving Jedi as said depending on your sources). I love the sound effects of Star Wars especially the prequel movies and the sound of the Hyperdrive activating is one of those sound effects I love! Personally love how Poe reacted. It was a bold move that would make a Skywalker proud! BTW. Shmi comes from a coreworld where Star Ships were manufactured explaining why Anakin was such a great pilot. Anakin preparing for the years where he’d have to breath and speak at the same time! Cables for maybe oxygen or electricity? Always thought they somehow went through the star like it was a cloud and the shields protected them only for YEARS later for me to realize they went around from the left! Another Happy Landing! The hips might be one of the reasons her uncle sold her off. Also her slave past is the reason for her revealing cloths which I find pretty cool. Show for 12 year olds with more death in one episode than both Deadpool movies and Dread together!🤣 Yeah I don’t get why female Twi’Lek ears look like onions while male ones look like humanoid ears. It’s cool detail but…why? Ashoka’s been in the Temple longer than Anakin and around this time the Ignorance and Arrogance of the Jedi reached a new height and not to mention their Cybermen ideology towards feelings and attachments. So Anakin being Ahsoka’s proper first relationship with someone other than Koon makes perfect sense. Yes Quinlan my boy!!! Give it to Bly to not recognize the obvious!🤣🤣🤣 There are birds with teeth. The Lurman seem to have a high rate of Twin birth.🤣 Something that’s been bothering me: If they Colonized the planet where’s the spaceship?! I would love to say something about the Jedi Slander coming from the Chief but I think he said just enough for himself.👍 Imagine the energy output all the Lurman need to give out to constantly roll like Droidekas! Can we talk about how random the flashlights on Rex’ and for that matter every clone’s helmet appear? In the Holocron arc Rex uses his antenna for night vision as far as I remember, in most of the other episodes he uses those lamps on his helm that sometimes are there and sometimes are not. Are they extra equipment he stores in a belt or something and screws them to his helmet when nighttime falls?! See Ahsoka, Anakin you don’t need a Lightsaber to solve problems! Fey knew it! More people in the Galaxy Especially Jedi should be like Fey! Anakin like: Sorry guys no Autographs for today!

3:09 Wait, where did the other pilot go? If you look at the scene in the frigate before, there are 2 pilots. Did the other one just take his lunch break mid battle? Also, I’m gonna say this every time I see this episode. Cameron, Lucky, and Flash are all 501st troopers, not 327th. They are the surviving clones from Anakin’s gunship. I count 7 (not including Rex or the co-pilot) clones on the gunship Anakin and Ahsoka are on. One dies when they drop down (you can see him briefly get shot) then no one else dies until the explosion that kills the three other clones. That leaves us with those three. The memes are a nice addition, but if you're overusing them, they look and feel awkward; like you're walking around with crutches before you do a 100m dash and set a world record.
