I don't know mine was not bad my teeth were straight but my top teeth were way in front of my bottom teeth and it made my jaw look ugly but I cut a straw and put in in my mouth to keep in place and it's gotten better

Story Time (I know im late) So, when I got to school the first time my teeth began to get crooked. And i got bullied for that. And I also got an overbite. So I told my parents that I need braces. you will need an expander for about 2-3 months depending on how bad it is . I went to the orthondontist today and they said that I needed it for a week so I can get braces ! 😘 you will be fine . the expander doesn’t take long to put in your teeth . Same with taking it out .

I have overbite so bad since I was a baby I cannot close my mouth, I could but it is forcing so I would rather keep my mouth open....got spacers, retainers(twice, the first time was top and bottom while second time was just bottom), expanders, braces(currently wearing them for 2nd time, getting them off next year), forsus springs, 2 teeth pulled, progress is slowly being made, last year I could finally close my mouth, but like I said earlier I would rather keep my mouth open because I have to force my mouth to be closed. This is my journey still going👍 My first crush was in 3rd grade he was a dentist's son and we sat across from each other I would play with my retainers and tease him he would always tell me stop playing(but he would smile and laugh). One day I heard he liked me then I started to like him back. my mom would tease me and joke say I have to marry him to get free stuff for my teeth😋

About 6 months ago, I was offered braces for my overbite from my dentist. I was a bit younger and he said I would have to have 4 teeth removed in order to put in the braces. Ivy Mulhern Yeah, that probably is because I have an extreme overbite and have braces for it, but usually if it’s bad enough that you can’t see your bottom teeth then your top teeth can’t protect your jaw as well as it could if it were straighter.

@Katazoro @Martha Licea just to add that when I was writing the previous comment I didn't want to bash on orthodontics since it's not my expertise or orthotropics. I just wanted to know what @The Look Orthodontics has to say topic as someone who's profession is fixing teeth. I agree that there really is no hard evidence that proves that orthotropics work because it was just a few months ago since orthotropics went viral, but even so it doesn't mean that it will or will not work. A question was asked because I wanted to know what either side thinks of the other. I think that there is really no reason for mean comments in this comment section. Just because it's on the Internet it doesn't mean it's true. That said even if orthotropics don't work on already mature people I think that parents should teach their small kids about proper tongue posture in order for their teeth to grow properly since head develops until the age of 9.

I have an overbite and gaps between each tooth. My friend keep make fun of my teeth. I hate them. I went to the goverment dentist 2 years ago to make braces. They said I can get free braces. After 5 month go to the dentist, the doctor told me to go to the orthodontic to make braces. I'm so fucking happy that day. So I went to the dentist and they said I must wait them to call me and get braces two years later. I was really disappointed. It has been two years but there is no call from the dentist. I hate dentist until now
