Ivy Mulhern Yeah, that probably is because I have an extreme overbite and have braces for it, but usually if it’s bad enough that you can’t see your bottom teeth then your top teeth can’t protect your jaw as well as it could if it were straighter.

I just wanted to know what @The Look Orthodontics has to say topic as someone who's profession is fixing teeth. I agree that there really is no hard evidence that proves that orthotropics work because it was just a few months ago since orthotropics went viral, but even so it doesn't mean that it will or will not work. A question was asked because I wanted to know what either side thinks of the other. I think that there is really no reason for mean comments in this comment section. Just because it's on the Internet it doesn't mean it's true. That said even if orthotropics don't work on already mature people I think that parents should teach their small kids about proper tongue posture in order for their teeth to grow properly since head develops until the age of 9.

Hi I got my braces last month, and today my orthodontist change my wire bracket I only got front row braces , my orthodontist said he will be putting bottom row braces next 3 weeks and I’ll get forsus spring next 6 months is that normal?

An easier diy way to check if you think you have an overbite is by closing your teeth, use your thumb, with the nail facing your bottom teeth, now try and see if your able to fit in any bit of your thumb up in between your top set of teeth.

I have an 10 mm overbite and I get bullied over it but my best friend has one too and he helps me feel better and every time I close my mouth it is soooo painful but the good thing is I get my braces for free any day now thxs for reading

I have a natural overbite what they call it but I still don’t want it hopefully when I get braided bottom braces for my one cricket tooth it will fix my overbite

There is no such thing as natural overbite lol.. Malocclusion a result of long period of poor tongue posture and mouth breathing.

you will need an expander to fix it and bring the teeth back up to be a normal overbite .

I have a deep over bite when I bite down on my back teeth so I have to get an expander for six months then after that I have to get braces for six months 🙄

I have an overbite and gaps between each tooth. My friend keep make fun of my teeth. I hate them. I went to the goverment dentist 2 years ago to make braces. They said I can get free braces. After 5 month go to the dentist, the doctor told me to go to the orthodontic to make braces. I'm so fucking happy that day. So I went to the dentist and they said I must wait them to call me and get braces two years later. I was really disappointed. It has been two years but there is no call from the dentist. I hate dentist until now
