I remember it was your forestry build in Palaven which made me really see where and how you stood out from other creators. So I just went back and rewatched it after watching this episode. It still stands out as a fabulous build. But I can see how much you've developed since then. And there were still the unique Eggy things too, like: planning for views, pedestrian access, asset orientation and gorgeous detailing of course. But your growth is undeniable, both in CS build ability, and also in video editing and presenting. So good. So to me, you should name your Forestry area "Awesome Growth Forestry". Coz you know, trees grow, but so have you.
@filmacs172 жыл бұрын
Have to agree that forestry is definitely the best looking industry. The dirt paths and fencing are such a compliment. I would have liked to see you include a workers car park area. I've started including them in all my builds around the major industrial assets (pulp mill etc). I use the one way toll booth as an entrance and then some car ports, all fenced off and secure. It's aesthetically pleasing to see the cars slow down as if showing their parking pass! (obviously I have zero charge on the booth) but also use this idea for shopping districts or on the edge of pedestrian areas (with charge) as well.

Oh yes, the forestry expert strikes again! :) Love the mixing of vanilla industry into it. Besides the detailing I always imagine it as those being the sub-contractors of the big corporation, who rent them business space in their industrial area, or specialized companies who use the produce of the area and settle here to make even more different goods. :) Also, you didn't forget to add trees as a resource. :)

That is so nice. Much better than my forest areas which mostly just look like forests. Sort of like my Western-Ohio-cornfields-forever farming areas. I guess I always end up overestimating how much production I need. I agree that the pulp mill looks great, but part of me is wondering if it would smell as bad as those things usually do in the real world. I can’t imagine that the folks in that little town are too keen on that. I also like the little bits of vanilla industry, even just the one block stacks of lumber. They’d look strange on their own, but next to a sawmill they’re fine, and the workers could be rationalized as having been hired by the sawmill company to stack and move wood. Also, I think I noticed an 84 Lumber in there, which surprised me as that’s a real life chain of lumberyards.
