I can run benches on my E2160 at 3.6+ghz using an air cooler. The board is a ROG Ranpage Formula and memory is Crucial Ballistix (with yellow heat spreaders). Cooler is Noctua NH15 with 3 fans and I did a delid. With a cheap board you will wreck the VRMs if you use it full time on too much over 2ghz, I did that with an E2200 clocked at 2.5ghz. This was the cpu series that first got me interested in overclocking back in 2007 as everyone was getting clocks way over standard even with the stock coolers.

e2140 is not a cpu that will recomend you win 10. this windows will took 40% of this cpu's performance just for windows to bee booted up and allso windows 10 will eat your 2 gb ram, not gona even talk about x1650. the results will be 15-20% better on windows 7 for this setup. good work like the video btw.

I'm complete agree with you. The reason that I used window 10 is just for the test. The windows was installed on another computer and I just attached to this machine to see what kind of results I will get :)

@@ViktorIvanov1111 yes and the motherboard i had was asus p5l 1394 and i can say only one about that, this motherboard worked 14 years without problem and lets me overcklock e2140 at 2.5 ghz and even more.

Dude you need to change the FSB/MEM ratio. This is the reason you can't overclock.

overall Pentium D 945 is a little bit better in the performance but requires more power
