Not if you want any kind of longevity in my opinion. As someone who's playing on a potato as an example of a pc, I much rather pay a little more to not have to deal with my pc being a potato yet again in the near future. To each their own. As of right now, I can't even play FH5 on all settings at their lowest. It's like I'm trying to play on a Dell from 1995. 😢 (I'm running a build from 2019. This has lasted awhile, but it's severely suffering these days.) This isn't to say they don't work great now, but the way games are being made these days, and what's to come in the near future, can you really say 8gb will be sufficient for what's to soon come?

I have been using the rx 7600 with 8gb vram high settings in cyberpunk with quality FSR an i average 85 frames mins 59 an max 133. So i would say these 8gb cards will be fine well into the future.

@@adumpforaplayer2665 I played Hogwarts Legacy with an RTX 4070 (laptop) 8GB vRam on 1080p Ultra settings and had around 80 fps, 1440p Ultra settings and had around 60 fps. 4K (connecting it to a 4K monitor) was a 30 fps

Guys listen, don't get peer pressured into making decisions always do research.. Remember if you play on 1080p this game does wonders especially with the big pricr drop on this card right now.. Plus you have better card longevity because, even though it performs not that much higher than the 3060 ti at most, you are getting these amazing performance at lower utilization costs, lower power draws, and lower temps. Depends on the game and depends on what you’re going for. The 3070 is already getting shafted cause if vram. I’ve heard people having issues not even being able to run 1080p ultra settings on far cry 6 without it crashing. My friend who owns a 3070ti fe is seeing similar issues. The speed is fine but vram is worrisome and devs are saying this will only get worse. If you don’t necessarily care about graphics then this doesn’t matter but if you’re looking to get a high end card and you want to to more then 12gb is more is gonna be the move. The ps5 already had 16 gb of shared ram so yea.

I run it on an RX 6700 with 10 gig on extreme. No slowdowns or stuttering. I had an RX 580 that ran it well on ultra but got hassled by extreme big time. I'm not sure whether it's the extra 2 gigs of ram or the better GPU that's the difference. Maybe both?

They are playing optimised 1080 p games. Also 2 games in high not ultra. 8 GB is trash. Sold like a scam with fake frames (DLSS) which needs 50 Fps real frames to work with which needs card more than 8 GB atleast in next 2 years. So 8GB will die soon. 6GB super works great even today. Nvidia looting poor gamers.

I am definelty going back to an RTX 3080 even if the vram is 12gb or less. It still hits a steady 60fps at 4k to this day with insane amounts of vram on highest settings with ray tracing.

I had 3070 8gb vram of course. And hogwarts wasn't playable on ultra setting at 1080p just becasue of the Vram. You can see textures loading every time you move.

Yes it can run these games. But the question is: How well? Where's the actual results? I can't believe videos like these actual get recommended by the algorithm. It's completely pointless. A total slap in my face. Also, ultra settings are pointless. Uses more vram and barely looks any different than high.

I wouldn't buy easily a new GPU for 400 euros with 8GB of vram, but if you're still in 1080p and you acknowledge the fact that you might need to turn down the textures down the line... I would eventually think about it a little bit, surely 8GB is mostly suitable for cards at less than 350-320 euros. 4060Ti is a stretch for example, but for less than 400 and usually in 1080p, I would think about it
