@@Jaindike Certainly needs the right set of games for some cards, i would say optimally 1 - 2 years before & after it's release date is the general limits of the cards, specially if it's a lower midrange one like the 9500 gt which trades blows with like a HD 5450 if you want too compare it with something close too that performance but that is dx 11 compatible. Think the original COD modern warfare from 2007 & maybe up too Black Ops 1 would be reasonably playable on this in 1024x768 (Usual competitive & low budget gamer resolution at the time similar too how some do in cs go, cs source & 1.6 having that 4:3 stretched.) And maybe 720p & 1600x900 as the upper limit with some settings at low or just off for black ops 1 & original release of modern warfare 2. If you are looking for singleplayer games id say half-life 2, episode 2, bioshock 1 would run on the 9500 gt reasonably well. COD Modern warfare I'd say a HD 4870 512 mb should manage around 50 - 75 fps even with cranked settings & 4x msaa in 1080p but a HD 4870 is also WAY faster. By over 4.8x the performance of the 9500 gt if techpowerups theoretical performance calculation is correct there. Plenty of games were & are still designed too be more demanding then the hardware could manage at the time & sometimes years later for better or for worse. Theres a reason "But can it run Crysis " was such a meme for example & sometimes that concept of " designed for pushing future hardware " is not always that well planned or optimized in the right direction... Also feel free too check out a modded windows 10 install called Atlas OS & compare performance with the same hardware & drivers you would use with the HD 4870 & maybe try the modded Nimez drivers as well in the same video & compare performance between stock windows 10 & Atlas OS as well as those drivers. Might help a bit with the I3 4130 too produce more consistent or better results despite the same hardware & drivers unless you maybe drop down too windows 7 without the spectre & meltdown patch installed for some of your testing. (These two patches introduce some extra cpu overhead due too the nature of the exploits themselves & for outright games on steam you should be fine with these disabled still, unless you open random emails & get some software "for free" rather then pay for them without researching whats safe & what isn't.)

i remember that the holes on the PCB for this (and some other 8 and 9 series cards like the 9600 GT and 8400 GS) were square and you could fit a beefy CPU heatsink on it for some crazy overclocks. usually also pasted some adhesive heatsinks on memory too. SPDIF was used to get motherboard audio with SPDIF header through HDMI output so video/sound was on the same cable. for some cards, you had to use a breakout box for HDMI or component output with audio.

yo you did the video br the 9500gt is a overclocking beast man! i overclocked mine to 850 core and vram its such a beast though

Many models of Nvidia's 9000 series cards had a hdmi connector that didn't output audio. You had to use S/PDIF for audio, it was a pain in the a$$. A lot of people bought the Ati/Amd 4000 series cards like the 4670 and 4850 because their hdmi connectors did output audio.

just want to say something about the FNV results and where you said 'performance were left on the table', New Vegas has a 60 fps cap by default which you hit by default in the few seconds you showed. Thanks for the video!

It was my very first Nvidia GPU. I only were able to use it for few months, then it crapped out. After that I used AMD 740G for few years, god it was awful

I can really tell That is an older card There's a whole lot of copper If this Was newer Graphics card There would be a whole lot less copper That's just something I noticed about older graphics cards Especially some of the more high endCards Like the 6870 I actually really like watching youTake apart these cards But I do thinkFor The Value and quality And Price MX4 Is pretty good For thermal paste And you get a lot more of it Then you would If you If you bought thermal grizzly I guess it's supposed to be pretty goodBut it's really expensive And with MX4 You can even put it on Playstation 4

I wish you luck finding a new cpu😂 but seriously though why do you use the i3 4130? I know anything else is a little overkill for this GPU but if you want to test anything better than a gtx 280 the cpu is a huge bottleneck. Love your vids and wish you luck 🤞
@Jaindike Жыл бұрын
Glad you enjoy the content man! Getting a better cpu is something that's been on the backburner for ages, I've just that most the gpus I test are actual ewaste (except when I did a video on the hd 7950, the 4130 bottlenecked the fk outta that)
