Oregon was the only team Washington prepared for all season. They played chump teams to the wire but somehow beat Oregon twice when Oregon wiped the floor with teams Washington barely got past. UW deserved that national championship blowout.

I think this guy has all the tools to succeed in the NFL. Doubtful he goes in Round 1 but would love to see the Giants pick him up with one of their 2 2nd round picks. Give him a chance to learn the game and replace Jones in 2025 (unless DJ somehow has a monster season and they go to the playoffs but I don't think that's very likely).

Was glad to see Oregon lose! Their coach is an idiot.
@NothingButSilicone4 ай бұрын
Only his 2nd year. He went 12-2, and his two losses were by a combined 6 points, to a team in the national championship. His quarterback was also a Heisman finalist. Think you’re being a bit harsh. I’d rather have DeBoer, but Lanning is a damn good coach. Edit: Also, his recruiting ability is crazy. Look at where they’re ranked.
@TWN3214 ай бұрын
@@NothingButSilicone sure. Can’t say he doesn’t win games. But he looked like a clown around the Colorado game. You’re playing a team that’s not even ranked, with a First year coach for the school, who hasn’t had a true chance to recruit, and you take pride in trying to make a spectacle of them. You get no tough guy points for a win like that. You look more like a bully than anything. In that respect he’s a poor coach in terms of the example he sets for his team and staff.
@NothingButSilicone4 ай бұрын
@@TWN321 Colorado was 3-0 at the time and ranked in the top 25 in both polls. If my memory serves me right, they were ranked 19th in the AP. Deion was talking a whole lot of mess. “Do you believe now?” Made things about race when it wasn’t. Set a horrible example for his players, and they all get their gold chains snatched. The swagger that team had, like they’ve done something. In my humble opinion, they were asking for it. Weren’t the Colorado players disrespecting the O at center field before the game even? And didn’t Deion’s son flash his watch to the student section? I’m a Washington Huskies alum and fan, so I really don’t like defending Oregon.
@TWN3214 ай бұрын
@@NothingButSilicone I hear you, but I would submit that there’s nothing wrong with a team believing in itself- win , lose, or draw. Deion never insulted any other program. He’s only been complimentary. I’d also say the 3-0 record did not include any noteworthy programs. TCU was respectable but clearly didn’t deserve to contend for a championship the season prior. Either way Oregon knew CU was going to take a beat down, and the coach went out of his way to make a spectacle of it. In my view that showed poor character and was unprofessional - especially if motivated by a 20 year old players celebrating ritual. I don’t know if Shadeur flashed a watch or not but I’ll take your word for it. Just my opinion at the end of the day.I don’t have a dog in the fight…. FYI I’m a ‘97 BSME graduate of the University of Michigan - Go Blue!! Great game by the way! Huskies fought hard to the end. Also.. not aware of racial comments so couldn’t speak to that…

Michael Penix, Bo Nix, Caleb Williams, Cam Ward, DJ U, Noah Fifita, just imagine if Cam Rising had been playing this year. Utah is going to destroy the Big 12 in their first season, and if the injury bug continues to bite them, then Arizona will. God I hope Washington wins. The disrespect that the west coast has gotten, and the last year of the PAC as we know it, would just be a great ending.

@@realleppy1299 It isn’t normal to start 5 straight seasons. Usually if you have any substantial NFL potential you’ll have shown it by season 2-3 as a starter and left by then.
