I have the worst phobia of frogs and toads, far worse than this, I despise walking in the streets in case there's dead or alive frogs around. At night when walking home I have to walk in the middle of the road because it's away from paths, it's that bad. I would run the second I see one, seeing pictures makes me have to check my clothes to see if they're on me, I had to skip most of this video because of that. I couldn't be anywhere near one, I panic and I run, I've climbed over gates and fences so fast running away from them.

Frog vision is limited to close range. Most frogs, have a difficult time distinguishing between size and distance of objects farther than 6 inches away so if you’re more than 6 inches away then you have nothing to worry about.

I got my phobia when i was maybe around 7 years old. I remembered it was on a holiday and it's my cousin's birthday and we were eating outside, then all of a sudden i saw a frog near the pond area of their garden, at first i was not afraid of frogs, my cousin was visibly scared, for some stupid reason i tried to poke the frog with my finger and i was planning on grabbing the frog and scare her, but the frog suddenly jumped on my face and wouldn't let go, i was so afraid that i cried and i screamed so hard that i can feel my throat starting to hurt. My dad came rushing and took the frog away from my face and i saw the frog's eyes for the first time and it sent chills down my spine. We went straight home after that... The next day i couldn't speak. I didn't want to eat or play outside, it had been three days and i still wouldn't talk or eat. My mom decided to take me to therapy since the incident traumatized me, after 4 months of therapy i can now eat and talk just like i used to and i started to play and be a cheerful kid again. But it never took away my phobia of frogs/toads. Whenever i see frogs i can almost feel my soul leaving my body and i would literally puke or faint.

No, you don't have to touch a frog to overcome it. However most people we have treated, after treatment want to as they are curious and want to test they no longer have a fear and so do it happily (but it is not essential).

Nicola , I just Googled this and feel so sorry for you and others. ...including myself . My phobia about frogs and toads almost got me shot with a Sub machine gun over 45yrs ago whilst in a War Zone because a toad jumped towards me and I became hysterical and screamed. ...which alerted a soldier on night duty . I am still absolutely petrified of the blasted things . The hardest thing is other people's reaction to my fear , they don't understand and think I am stupid because my reaction is so severe that I freeze with shock and scream for help , don't understand why they jump towards me when rats , mice , stats , weasels & other wildlife run away . Not even scared of rats !!!! Bless your heart , it's not funny at all . 😱😱

I'm 72 years old & have had a lifelong aversion to frogs. It's the alien look & leap & sliminess of them. I always thought I was the only one who was phobic about them because I'd never known anyone who was. Then today, I was surprised to learn that the fear has its own fancy clinical name: batrachophobia. I'll always remember this incident: When I was about 10 years old, I was waking in the woods with a friend at summer camp one day. He spotted a small frog (or toad), picked it up & put it in his mouth to show off his daredevilry. I about died. In another incident some years later, when I spotted a great big, coal black bullfrog it the edge of a pond, I freaked & fled. I laughed when the woman in the video had a toad placed in her hands after being cured of her phobia, petted the creep & said, "Lovely!" Sucks to be you, lady. 😀

Sorry to hear you have a phobia of frogs. However as an animal lover, you can overcome your fear when you locate the origin of your fear to allow you to see the event and frogs for what they really are (another living creature entitled to share our earth) as opposed to how they made you feel back when your fear started. All phobias can be overcome, but only if you want to and are prepared to go to therapy or take the necessary steps. The good news is, even if you fear them, they will cause you no harm and have no animosity or bad feeling to you.

Frogs are so harmless and precious and they didn’t do anything that should make you scared of them. There are not too many poisonous species of frogs and they really can’t do anything to you except a small bite mark. They may have powerful jaws but only a few of species. The biggest species is only about a foot long and that’s only in like a very small part of Africa. They are harmless and if you check my channel you can see I have an African bullfrog and you can see he is very cute and he can’t harm you at all. I love frogs so much and I have no clue how people couldn’t like them! ❤️ 🐸

DUDE I've been stuck in a driving car with a frog before. TWICE! It was absolutely terrifying. I have this phobia, and I'm kind of okay with small frogs, I guess it depends on my mental state. But frogs crawling over each other makes me want to throw up. And the toads and those green frogs make me SO uneasy. It feels like they are going crawl down my throat and my ears. I was mowing the lawn and i accidentally bumped one of the side house gutters and i saw a whole fucking family of fat cane toads laying on top of onr another and they all came out at once and i ran for my life. At the same time i threw the lawn mower forward chopping one in pieces i saw some guts and legs flying and nearly hit me on the head. I screamed and screamed and screamed and i was shaking and biting my teeth like hearing nails scraping on rusty steel. I was so scared i went for a shower 4 times, left the mower in the sun all day that it got over heated by the sun and it was almost broken luckily my neighbour fixed it. I am never going out into my backyard again even if somebody paid me Bruce Wayne's bank account.

Awww there was no need to scrub that much. We literally catch them all the time as they live in our pond, and we just use soap and water. They’re pretty friendly little things and would rather be left alone. We just catch them to rescue them if they’re near our cats. :)

Sorry to hear you have such a severe fear. You can overcome it for sure and we hope our films help. It is true when you have a phobia, you see the thing you fear more than those that don’t. The reason is that you have told yourself they are a danger so are unconsciously scanning for them. It’s really great that once you overcome your phobia, you no longer see them. The best way to overcome your fear is to consider where it started, and then how you may have got that wrong and misunderstand as frogs have no bad feeing to you at all. They are peaceful creatures and want to be left alone.

Touka Kirishima :3 My mom doesnt like them but I am the complete opposite. I found one hurt while I was fishing and I am surprised she actually let me take care of the frog. She likes all animals when it comes to their lives but she just doesnt like some at the same time. Thats another way I differ from my mother. I hunt all the time and she hates it.

I was wrong , the way she hold the frog or toad (I’m not sure) is kinda cute but I guess the only thing of scare that frog will do is jump all over me I guess. If it stay still then yeah I’m cool with it

I think they’re SO cute. However, I dislike big, fat toads. I’d run if I saw a toad but frogs are cute. I’m only on this video because there was a frog that snuck into my house due to leaving the door open after it rained.
