Mech you’re amazing! Our bees are ordered so please keep the bee videos coming. Of note, we are not familiar with the terminology you were using and have so much to learn!

Will do! Check out Kamon Reynolds and Fredrick Dunn, The way to bee, channels. Those are 2 that we watch and continue to learn so much. Also, find a bee association in your area and bee groups that you can ask questions and find resources if you need. Miss you guys!

Takes your bees about 2 hours to realize they have no queen, actually less than that. With 24 hours, you run the risk that they have started making a new queen and decide to kill the new queen. Candy side up, if you put it down and a worker dies, she can block things up so your queen can't get out. Just some tips. If you can find a local beekeeper, a mentor can be a great benefit. Try not to dig around with a newly released queen. Your workers can decide that she is actually a problem and choose to kill her instead of accept her.

Thanks for your tips. We followed the instructions from the apiary where we got her and it all worked out. Thankfully, we have a wonderful bee association close to us that we are members of along with some wonderful bee groups. Not to mention, Kamon Reynolds YT channel and Fedrick Dunn "The way to bee" YT channel and FB group. We jumped into all of those helps this year. Thank you commenting, We love feedback.

You said you Put three frames of drown frames that is good but if you have a frame with eggs an larva that will help out a lot to help keep the bees in the new box . As large as that swarm was it could have used two brood boxes to hold all the bees . You did great just stay cool an collective.There is no correct or wrong way to collect a swarm just do what you think is correct . You will get more practice as time go on .

Couldn’t come up with your own original name
@RedDirtRoosterRoad234 ай бұрын
Not sure what you mean? If you take the time to look at our channel, you'll see we haven't infringed on anyone's name. We live in OKLAHOMA which is considered the Red Dirt state. We are a homesteading channel, at just a year now. Take a look at channel names, you will see Many channels have similar words in their names.

Yes, we have found Randy, at 628 Dirt Rooster. He is excellent! We have roughly 70 videos posted with only 5 being about our honey bees. We are not trying to copy or capitalize on his channel. If we were, we are doing a pretty poor job. With that said, I can appreciate your zealousness for his channel. I am sorry your are offended by our name. I assure you it had nothing to do with his or any other channel. It merely has to do with where we are located and our always full chicken coop with too many roosters. Thank you for checking us out and sharing your thoughts.
