I hope if you are a premed/highschool student/someone wanting to follow this path, that you know that you are more than just numbers and that you can overcome anything and accomplish your goals! At the end of the day, patients care about how much compassion you have, how you make them feel, and if you were there for them when they needed you. Sending love to everyone reading this.

What DO schools did you get an interview at?

Thank you for sharing all of this! I’m taking my mcat 8/26 and into the thick of practice exams every day 😭. I’m just curious, I don’t think you mentioned it. Did you hear back from any of the MD schools after your applications were submitted?
@racheldoesbalance3 жыл бұрын
you're welcome!! good luck, you got this, you're almost there!!! I ended up applying to 3 MD schools and got secondaries for 3, but didn't end up completing them for 2/3 because of location and I realized I wanted to focus on my DO schools, and for that last MD school I ended up not getting an interview there!

As a high school senior, what should I choose between a smaller ROTC with less morning wakeups and only a 100 cadets or a larger full time ROTC with 2,000 cadets during my undergraduate school studying pre-med classes for a good resume for med school?
@racheldoesbalance2 жыл бұрын
i took the first route of doing the smaller rotc program and while im sure the large program will really push you and offer different opportunities than the smaller program, i would say choose the smaller program. this will allow you to stand out more when you work hard bc there is a smaller amount of people, and then you can also balance rotc responsibilities and have time for outside extracurriculars and clinical experience, because you will definitely need more to your resume than just rotc and premed classes. really commit to the smaller program and work hard and you will get the recognition, opportunities, and credit that you deserve out of it , while still being able to enjoy college and do other non rotc leadership things
