Thank you so much Barry!!! it is like you opened my eyes on what was going on in my life and inside me. I feel so blessed that i happened to hear this message. Fortunately Holy Spirit already started to work on my heart ( i almost went through your own experience). The bottom line: Holy Spirit prepared my heart to hear your message. I am so overwhelmed...it feels like I have finally graduated from a kindergarten and i have such a desire to bless people instead of fighting them. After so many years of war i can feel/understand Gods love towards me and inside me. i was at war with myself too and blamed Satan for that...what a blessing to have a peace inside myself, it is like a beautiful morning after a stormy night.

For a long time I have been struggling with my mom´s gossip about her husband and it caused me to have strife. I´ve sent this to her with the message to find peace with God and that I have to distance myself from venting. Thank you for answering me Abba, thank you Barry for your fellowship with Abba Father and for being such an amazing example.

I grew up in so much strife I thought it was totally normal to argue and shout ... Then God showed me a more gentle way when I had my daughter and I didn't want her to grow up in that sort of environment, and I got filled with the Holy Spirit, and when she was six I met a guy from school, we nearly had got kicked out of school we got into so much trouble, he was my taxi driver, and my daughter was very tiny due to being extremely premature, and she fell, I knelt in the rain to pick her up, comfort her and pray over her, then popped her into the taxi. Terry said hello to me but I hadn't recognized him... He said 'NOW I know there's a God, look at you!' He had been wondering if God was real as his wife was a JW, but he knew they were wrong, but he saw first hand the power of God in me and we prayed right there! Understanding Peace with God is so key to a gentle and quiet spirit. I am relearning this today all these years later ... Thank you so much for sharing this teaching on youtube, I was just letting the kindle go from one thing to another in the back ground til I heard Barry's voice and his teaching style is what I relate to, .. I listened more intently...

Barry is getting better and better, wiser and wiser. He is one of the best preacher. He is kind and humble also. But he has the habit of looking up at the clock in front of him somewhere. and worries that he does not have enough time. This create stress in him and the audience, according to me. Can he have a watch on the podium so that he can discreetly look at it to know the time. This will help us relax and enjoy his sermons more. Thank you.

I loved this talk. Not easy to hear some parts as it convicts my heart, but then there are things I think, "Yes, I was there before myself, but praise God, He's help me grow past that! Whew!" All of this leads to greater freedom, peace and love in our lives, so getting strife out of us and praying for those around us who are in that pit is so very important. Strife is a tool that the enemy will beat you to death with, and we see that in literal manifestation through sickness, disease, mental/emotional turmoil, etc. It can ruin our life and people around us when we pull them into our pit, and we don't realize this. It also gives the enemy a legal reason to attack us and I take strife so very seriously when I realized that. Listen with an open heart. These are words of life! Thanks, Barry!

I know as a speaker it is not easy when it is that silent- a lot of things can go through our minds- but from this side of it- you were hitting some very difficult- yet needed areas. For me personally- I was led to this message for this time- as I have been going through a very difficult time with my adult children- You NAILED IT!!! With the effects of carrying strife- as well as its origins-and how it interferes with our “God connection”- this has confirmed so much today- thank you so much!! mine comes from a constant struggle with my identity- as an orphan baby- God is showing me I still have a root that needs to be uprooted- as the enemy is wrecking havoc on my life through this strife and keeping me from my truth in Christ- and I want it gone!! I loved the concept of admitting the harvest w our children- but planting new seeds! I hold onto this. In them and in me! The root to be pulled out completely- and Gods love planting the new healthy seeds- and growing them up. It just seems that no matter how much I work at this- for 38 years now- I still can fall back into the “seeing myself as not enough” or “wanted” etc. and it affects every relationship when it happens!!! This message is truth- and I see what needs to be done! God bless you and your family! Praise God for His healing in your life! Thank you again!

At minute 48:00 he answers a question about parenting. Personally, every book I have ready about parenting older children (5 and onward) has been lacking. I want to encourage you that the Holy Spirit knows exactly what your child needs and has especially anointed you as their parents to raise them well. I pray He gives you wisdom and discernment as you walk out this season.
