Thank you for this posting...he was/is a great soul,he dedicated his life to God,to the enlightened Master and to helping all others on the spiritual path and also those not yet on the spiritual path...thanks again,Ananda..you are what the world,all people are in need of now. ps..i wish there was a picture of Yoganandas guru when he had a radiant,uplifting smile...but perhaps it is better as is because the picture does convey that the path is also a very calm,serious affair.

Why there is this pic. of Jesus as a white skinned blond haired man? Yogananda himself discribed Jesus with dark skin and long black hair. It is irritating me. One has to use common sence. Be blessed!

My request to be connected with energy and not really any physical form, be it white or black, hair or no hair. Jesus lord will always remain what he is and by praying to the lord, we get the energy of spiritualism. God bless

​@@ashokmsrinivasan2278well, if it doesn't matter what color he was why don't you portray the master the way he really was as an African Hebrew Messiah like Yogananda saw him? peace and love, yishmirai BTW, If you didn't already know, the Holy Land us in Northeast Africa. And in the Bible it was called Eden. Remember it said "...eastward in Eden was the Garden; from the Nile to the Euphrates..." You can run, my friend, from the truth, but sooner or later it will always catch up with you. But that's a good thing 'cause only theTRUTH can make you FREE.

That picture is on the altar because Yogananda said of all the paintings he has seen it carries the biggest resemblance to Jesus' actual facial features (apart from the skin tone of course)
