Really mature and sensible talk. This rings a bell a lot, especially as a starting producer, it's always easier to focus on other things or distracting yourself, rather than actually putting in the work. Super great advice. Thanks for the wake up.

This channel is gold man. Thank you so much for everything, I feel a lot more motivated to make music thanks to you 🙏 Also, if it feels like you're stuck at writing songs, maybe try designing some sounds. For me it worked really good, I designed some random sound and immediately came up with a song idea. Maybe this helps others too. Thanks again!

I can't tell you how many times i've started a song then been like "nah this aint the one" but push through and finish it, even though i dont really like it, but then something happens and it all comes together towards the end and then I love it all the sudden and thank myself for not deleting it.

Sometimes you feel less creative (things just don't work out...) and that's ok bro. Main thing is to stay emotionally calm in these periods and give yourself some grace. These are actually great opportunities to invest time in studying and learning new stuff. Once you find the spark again you'll be on a whole nother level ✌

Bless you brother for sharing this with the world. I completely agree. For people struggling to produce music all it’s takes is a mind shift approach. The aim is to finish track after track eventually we Weill all reach a point where writing music becomes second nature. Don’t focus on quality etc. all that will come in time and experience.

Honest feedback on the editing and whatnot: I love how you keep switching from you just sitting and talking to like, different scenes with your friends. I also like how you switch to emphasizing a few key words on the screen. It's the perfect balance of entertainment, real knowledge, and easy to follow. Awesome videos! ☺️

Hey! I’ve really been enjoying your videos the last few months especially around mindset when it comes to production. Anyone watching this that wants to dig deeper into the concept you explained should read Stephen Pressfield’s “The War of Art”. Resistance is the part of any creative process. Learning to push through is what makes or breaks artists. In my case I’ve made my better music when I force myself to honor my scheduled time in my music studio.

If you have writer's block, then find a spot, allign your thoughts. Mind the drop and pry the lock from fibers tryna blind your watch. Might be tossed but fight the loss till titans flock to ride across. Bite the chalk and guiding moss will right the wrongs that lined the box.

I listen to tracks of the same genre I produce on Spotify and I noticed some tracks sound very terrible, like not mastered at all/ beginner but the artist has a lot of following/listeners, but I be stuck coz I want to release the perfect music, I overthink. Quality vs Quantity. I think one has to be in the middle of the two, otherwise you gonna release a few songs.

I agree somewhat, but I'm not sure about lyrics. I'm an artist, producer, singer, and songwriter, so I'm coming from a slightly different pov than most people here (primarily producers) Lyrics don't have to be the most deepest profound thing ever, but to make something decent and cohesive, I usually need some sort of inspiration, like a main idea that the song is written about. Sometimes I don't have that. I can continue to make music, like beats, melodies, chords, etc., but decent lyrics don't always come by just pressing through the resistance. I'd love to get everyone else's thoughts on this. Do you disagree? Am I just not trying hard enough?
@hadesmadedat2 ай бұрын
I think its different. when producing, you dont really have to think about something then make it, you just play around until you find something that sounds good. i dont write lyrics that often but usually i need to think of some kind of opening line to get the ball rolling.

👏writers👏block👏doesn’t👏exist👏
@aio84322 ай бұрын
the idea that writers block is just "resistance" is redundant and harmful to newer producers, which is your target audience. telling someone to make beats when they dont feel like it, or have the creative energy to do so is a great way to cause yourself to get burnt out. its cool you said take breaks in the comments i guess, but 90% of people who watch these videos dont even read the comments, so you're perpetuating this false narrative that you are your own worst enemy when it comes to creativity, when thats not how people work at all. its for sure a good narrative for a video, makes people want to do something, but next time really think about the ideas you are pushing before you post another video like this. i usually enjoy ur videos but this one was just bad.
