Overcooked is the game that forced some of my friends to confront how competitive they were, and others to confront how they handled high-stress, time-sensitive situations. I don't know that we really got better as a result of this game, but we definitely had to have some conversations asking certain friends to tone things down so that the rest of us could have fun. This game can ruin friendships faster than Monopoly. 10/10, would recommend.

Overcooked fits into that sweet spot for me where it's frustrating but only on a surface level where mistakes are easily forgiven and there's always a feeling that we can do better next time. I've just found you guys a couple days ago and I enjoy your videos a lot. One thing that keeps surprising me is when the Disgaea music starts and I get this little kick of happy nostalgia that cheers me right up. Not even really sure why - I didn't actually play that much of it.

This is one of the games where the simplicity and lack of things is the brilliance of the game. Overcooked forces you to work together with your teammates and to effectively, and efficiently, cooperate with one another. It's at its best when, through failure and analysis, you manage to set up a flexible tactic that allows you to keep everyone occupied and to finish orders quickly. In the end, cooler heads prevail and if you keep your view wide and look at the bigger picture, you'll succeed. Until your dumbass teammate bodyslams you off the map and you lose the complete dish you were holding...

I know this is completely off topic, but my uncle, who's half Japanese actually worked in Nintendo for a while and helped develop this game. Idk how much he contributed but its just cool that a family of mine actually worked on a game that people actually play. Also this video was funny. Keep it up.

Even if you're a bit lacking in teamwork, you make up for it doubly in spirit (and also self awareness). Coordination, cooperation, and communication are scarce when you are on the clock. I've always found that it's just better to do the second best thing. Screaming frantically and running around in blind panic until you get the dishes you need, at which point its already too late and the order has gone to void because the customers are expecting Michelin Star food at the speed of McDonalds. But hey, at least I got an A for effort, and 0 stars to go along with it.

The real game you should have tried as a test before moving in together is Moving Out to see how you'd handle the furniture moving. Just as chatoic and fun as Overcooked... and about as much yelling at each other.

My friends and I used to play overcooked in the before for times. We would get so hyped up for it. One time we were playing and my dude paused... looked at us other 2 and just stared at us. All I was thinking was oh god don't be me don't be me plz. He then jerked to stare at Evil and and in the deepest voice says YOU. I've never felt so much relief

I wonder how girl would feel about the souls-like world of CODE VEIN. its a souls-like game but the easiest way I can explain it is anime bloodborne. there is a bit of a big reveal that is both a spoiler and not a spoiler at the same time that being that CODE VEIN takes place in on the same world that the God Eater series (think anime monster hunter except the monsters are like creatures that are then mixed with/fused with machines, or statues/carvings and stuff) takes place on (the spoiler, being that the red veil that blocks everyone from the outside world also keeps the aragami from entering. the aragami being god eaters monsters, a aragami actually being not being a real creature in the normal sense rather a massive colony single-celled organisms known as Oracle Cells that group around under an Aragami Core)

Hey , I just want to recommend you a game called Payday 2 , it's a pretty fun CO-OP game(and the original Payday was inspired by the left 4 dead series). If you aren't sure The Russian Badgers "Getting Choke-slammed for money" video captures the feeling pretty well.

I worked in a pizza place where we made everything from scratch. It was just like this game. You have to constantly move quickly and coordinate so you dont bump into eachother and drop the food. A few of us were skilled enough to catch food before it hit the ground. Imagine 6 people constantly moving around to get ingredients for 20 pizzas. It was also very hot. One girl passed out from dehydration even though we have free soda and water.

Overcooked, eh? Your couples' therapist must have a field day with this one. Watching clips of this game helped me coin a term I now use on the regular - a "Screaming Game," haha. I think you can probably get a sense of what that entails. Always wanted to try it out, but unfortunately I value my friendships a bit too much, haha. Guess I'll have to live vicariously through you two and your escapades. Great video, as per usual! I've become enough of a fan to have swapped to my main account, which is a pretty elusive achievement. Fedora Boy is no more! PS: Have you two tried the sequel, Overcooked 2? If so, how does it compare to the original?

I get frustrated pretty easily, so I didn't really enjoy Overcooked when I tried it. Which is odd, because I also enjoy Dark Souls. Maybe it has something to do with the pressure of letting the team down. On my own, my failures only penalize myself. But when my every mistake penalizes my comrades, I get flustered easily and the stress gets to me.
