When in doubt, go with the worst case scenario but hope for the best. 1:00 still find that really stupid that you can’t grab a pizza out of the oven with a plate in hand. 2:30 Tim’s forgetting to confirm again. Guess that means it’s time for dessert! 5:18 I had something similar like that with a Sonic & Knuckles CD. Any time I tried to play it on PC, it would constantly speed through the demos that play if you keep sitting on the title screen. Can’t even start the game because it’s speeding through too quickly. Not sure if it’s related to that processing issue. Not a lot of people can say that they’ve washed plates while standing behind the sink, I realize. 6:08 I don’t think that’s how baking works? Usually you have everything baking together. Maybe you might need to take something out to add things to be baked later in the process if the recipe calls for it, but adding ingredients by opening the oven while it’s still hot and tossing them in? Can’t say I’ve heard that one before, but it might just be the key to victory. 14:20 OK, let me revise that first statement: when in doubt go with the worst case scenario but maybe keep a level head while you’re at it too.

The thing with games moving too fast is because they're tied to the CPU clocking to simplify time measuring. On our modern 72Hz+ monitors and far more powerful rigs than the devs ever imagined when launching their games decades back, if the framerate is uncapped the calculations go _nuts._ For example, there's the game speed in Pac-Man, the enemy AI decision-making in Messiah and Blood II, the physics engine in F.E.A.R., the text in King's Quest, and several others.

Dinner-fork tongue I can see that on more modern and powerful computers, especially those specced for gaming, but the computer I was playing this on I got in the mid-2000s. An unoptimized HP, at most it was a little over a decade older than the S&K CD.

From what I remember the Mega Drive family ran at 30, and emulators force that constant framerate, but running it off the PC with no moderating software inbetween could cause that even as far back as the mid-Noughties. Pizzas in Italy usually have cheese as a standard ingredient and it's really tasty, but not that kind of cheese, the one in the game makes it look more like a pizza with fries. The basic pizza is called "Margherita", which means daisy, and its ingedients are the ones we see here: dough, tomato sauce and cheese.

It's because it would need to recook for the extra ingredient. Like you can't send out a sausage pizza that's got raw or cold sausage on it.

CrazyGuy0636 I mean that’s how it works with the soup too. You add an extra ingredient and the time it takes for it to cook resets a bit. The difference is that you can put everything into a pizza oven at once. Also resetting the clock isn’t the worst thing if you have a basic pizza running and all you need is to add an ingredient. Saves time having to assemble a brand new pizza from scratch.

CrazyGuy0636 Yes in Overcooked 1. Go back to the first and second parts when all they have is soup (or wait until the next part when they return to 4-2). You’ll see that a chunk of time is “lost” when an ingredient gets added to a pot that already has at least one ingredient in it.
