Do you think 965 amendment should be moved to NS11 Sembawang to relieve 858 in short distance?

Nope, the best solution is to just put all 7 bendy buses on service, maybe get one more underused KJDEP or WLDEP bendy as a spare. The amendment of 965 to Sembawang will cause quite some problems, such as unhappy 965 passengers due to the detour to Sembawang causing a longer journey time to Woodlands and the possibility of bunching with a 858 bus along the Sembawang sector which will cause reliability and capacity problems.

@@pressntopass60 actually what should be the case is that LTA order 25m articulated double deck buses. Twin V8 turbo supercharged diesel engines generating 1500hp each. 12 forwards and 8 reverse gears for high demand workloads. Able to carry about 200-300 people with ease. RWD articulated bus just simply too weak imo.

Bendy can fetch the same number of people as a double decker, plus double deckers are too tall to fit inside the airport bus stops

You see, if people from Woodlands or Yishun take the MRT instead, they have to transfer three times (NSL -> CCL -> EWL -> CGL). Yes it may be faster, but I don't think that's very convenient.

actually they can re deploy more a24s but since tts will take over soon, the process have to be managed by lta. or the easy way is to allow dds into changi airport departure lane (which changi airport group die die dw allow when it is actually possible)

Double deckers on 858 won't solve the problem, in fact will make things worse, due to longer dwell times at bus stops which is not suited for 858's tight schedules, and people on 858 generally are travelling short distances in the Yishun and sembawang areas, so not many people are willing to go to the upper deck

@@pressntopass60 Should deployed mid way trip for 858 like buses starting from Punggol / Yishun . This one can use double decker

@@jeremytan8154 if downroute from Yishun, the short distance nature of trips will still apply, resulting in people not using the upper deck and also increasing dwell time at bus stops, so it's still better to put bendys for the whole route than having double decker downroutes, since there is high demand on the whole route, even though it is physically possible to have DD downroutes
