So relatable, I have this issue too. Binge/emotional eating, it stresses me out. Thank you for making this video so relatable and not making us feel so alone.

Damn, i didn't that a lot of people would relate with 20 year old dude talking about overeating. This is quite an eye opener for me. You're not alone, there will always be someone out there that has it better than you. But i guarantee you that there will always be someone out there that has it worse than you. I'm glad that it made you less lonely in some way🙌🏻 thanks for commenting.

It’s not only you man. Everyone has their vices. My brother has a problem with overeating too and it has some negative consequences. Still way less chaotic than me and my sister who never eat but drink and use coke on a daily basis so don’t beat yourself up too much about it, you have the right mindset.

True, everyone's got skeletons in their closet.

Its a feel better for a short while / temporary feeling, that's why ppl drink. They want to escape from their worries for a quick while and take their minds off things its never going to solve any issue its a very temporary solution to a much greater problem.

True. But i believe you can take your mind off things while doing something healthy & productive. I think we are all trying to figure it out.

I used to have similar issues and I still have "fear foods" that I link to the downward spiral. It's so funny, because I can't buy digestives for that exact reason, same with potato chips I will go feral. But outside of those I've learned to intuitively eat most "bad" foods by adding more nutritional value and making it a meal. Like if my mom makes brownies I will eat half and add a protein shake and an apple. It seems weird to add more calories but making it more fufilling makes me not as quilty for eating and doesn't make me want to just eat more of the bad food. If im still hungry my focus is shifted to just eating something healthy next.

that's actually a really good strategy. You link eating unhealthy foods with a conscious decision to eat more healthy. I should probably try that. Thanks for the input!

the first step is to be aware about the bad things ur consuming so im glad u get to see what makes u feel miserable and in this case is overeating. but i hope u dont scold urself too much for simply eating later on. it seems great to put into perspective over the things ur struggling with but u need to embrace and see how u could change it rather than scolding yourself and saying negative things about it all the time. learn to understand ur problems so that you'll find ur answers rather than a quick solution. for example ur overating bcs u love food as u said than why not change ur diet to something that has less calories but then u can take it in a big portion still? im struggling the same way as u do but rn i want to understand my issues rather than scolding myself for having it. good perspective anyway, bro! hopefully we can understand our body better :))

True, that's a really good approach too. Thanks for the input! New datasets unlocked from reading this comment. I guess we have to be graceful with mistakes and be more positive even when things don't seem positive. That's a really good mindset to have.

tbh for me overeating literally ruins my wholeee day, I’m a tall girl so it is also hard to compare what I eat to what girls around me eat, I mean, I’ve always eaten more than them and it is kind of hard to balance the amount of food I should eat so I always end up under eating and immediately after overeating, It’s just a cycle that honestly makes me feel so discouraged sometimes
@drewthings410010 ай бұрын
I do agree it can ruin a day if you're not careful. But normally i only give myself permission to overeat when I've done a hard or long workout that day. That way, i know at least I've earned it because things can get out of hand if you're not intentional. But honestly, overeating can be a powerful tool if you know how to frame it. It's all about turning something negative into a positive for me. I guess being discouraged is part of living life. Imagine how boring it would be if we figured everything out all of the time.
