This is perhaps the most graphic representation I’ve ever seen that illustrates the intensity of effort and direction of same from the top of the downswing. When you see Gary Player hit the home run the intensity and direction of of the effort jumps of the screen. For me this even tops the holy grail video. Thanks.

This is the holy grail swing, just a better illustration of it.

This is fantastic. What a visual, wow! This would definitely help to know where the ball should be traveling after you bounce it. My ball was totally going towards the target. It’s towards the pitcher!!

I hope you're talking about your Holy Grail ball and not the golf ball.

@@HolyGrailOfGolf yes. holy grail ball goes towards the pitcher. before my holy grail ball was being sent to left field over 3rd base more. I'm going to try this motion soon

@@HolyGrailOfGolf in my case? yes! you've seen how flippy and lofty i'm getting
@HolyGrailOfGolf4 жыл бұрын
@@teddythodo3302 The more I think about it the more I realize that getting flippy comes from attempting to swing in a circular motion. When we think in only linear motions we get a big smooth arc without trying.

167 wins on six continents over 7 decades. One of five to hold the grand slam. And the only player to hold the grand slam on both the regular and Champions tour. I happen to believe he is the GOAT when it's all added up. The most under recognized athlete in history imo. Great pick.

You're talking about Gary Player?

@@HolyGrailOfGolf Of course!!! The GOAT! I You picked the GOAT for the above down plane look My favorite look by the way! We should use it more teaching! You have to look at his record. It's ridiculous. Like 13 S. African Opens. 7 Australian Opens. Won the World Match Play like 5 times. So many different national opens it's insane. He won on six continents No competitive record of anyone comes close. And he did it traversing the planet figuring he spent 3 years of his life in planes. It's an unfathomable record.

Interesting concept - I think I've been confusing what you're describing because when I think baseball I end up thinking about how you would stand in the batters box and the ball is home plate. Am I correct by interpreting this video that you would actually rotate the batter around 90 degrees so hes facing the pitcher like shown in the video?
@HolyGrailOfGolf4 жыл бұрын
Yes, and the pitcher, well the whole field actually is underground. Your chest would be facing the pitcher and your spine would be perpendicular to the ground in the field.
@spondiveswandive5614 жыл бұрын
It looks like he is hitting the ball straight down to the ground not out toward the ball target line... this is where I get confused with the Jim dent thing. Like the shaft is hitting ball straight down in between the toes and ball target line

Hi, I’ve been trying this method, hitting it really solid but slightly push fading it too much, could you give me any help on this, cheers
@HolyGrailOfGolf4 жыл бұрын
Most likely it's just that your grip is slightly too weak. You should be striking the ball with a completely neutral grip and if your club isn't square when your grip is neutral it's too weak.

I don’t know baseball so I don’t quite get the foul ball point, but I can see clearly what you are showing here. Amazing as always
@colerche4 жыл бұрын
The foul ball thing just means that we hit the ball in golf much farther forward than in baseball...so if it were on a baseball diamond the ball would go out of play left...that's all.

you have said to drive 12 inch point of club vertucally. then also said diagonally at ball. hit the orange ball straight down. dent, you say, is swinging at the ball. ?????? his club comes vertically down. club hits through right if swinging at orange ball vertical. ok big question, besides the statements application..... is the pivot organized to put the pressure of the middle shaft downward on the imaginary ball... or the arms themselves. otherwise it could be an unconscious mix and the technique is an illusion/ not hating on overhand idea. but golf is not guesswor ie, consistent, powerfull golf.
@HolyGrailOfGolf Жыл бұрын
I don't think I ever said "vertically," although I do say "straight down that way," while pointing diagonally. I'm sorry I can't quite understand your question.
@dazalenko42504 жыл бұрын
There is no way there would be enough power to hit a home run with feet facing the pitcher like that, all the power would be with the foul ball left shot. I assume thats the point?
@HolyGrailOfGolf4 жыл бұрын
A baseball would break the shaft every single time so no home runs there ... Also, it's hard to get a baseball field underground. You get the point ... we're hitting a foul ball left.

Fantastic visualization! I get it. This works perfectly so far in my short ceiling basement. Next Friday I get to try it out on the course. I've always struggled with being ball bound and releasing early(but not OTT) and have been gradually working it out, but it is so bad that I will bail out and know it, but still do it....full swing yipps. I have needed and been trying different things to physically force myself to ditch this tendency. This "intention" (Holy Grail) does the trick. It does indeed force the release to be timed properly. I know I will duff some at first on the course, but I'm confident that sticking with this will only get better and better as I progress to "owning" it. (Thanks, and well deserved PayPal coming your way soon.)

Take a look at the Jim Dent video. After I made it I went out and shot -4 on a course I've never shot under par before. It's the same idea just easier.

@@HolyGrailOfGolf Yes, I saw that video you posted. I had heard of Jim Dent, but never saw his swing. I have to admit, when I saw it, it was an incredible light bulb for me. Kind of relatively short backswing and everything you have described with the "Holy Grail." I'm going to search for more video of him. I find watching it over and over helps. Lots of children have learned good swing through imitating. One kid learned to swing because his non golfing father would play the Tiger Woods computer game, while the kid ran around the house with his stick!
