The day my daughter was born, I took her on a walk in the courtyard of the l&d unit so my wife could rest. I sat down on a bench and held her. I sang her this song and had tears in my eyes. Afterwards, I looked up and saw a crowd developed by the door. I was a little embarrassed but it was a moment I'll never forget. This song fit that moment perfectly. 4 years later, I'm still singing it to her. I hope she plays it for the father daughter dance when she gets married.

I look at disability in these terms, although a lot of people would find this to be crude. The reason certain people are born minus sight, hearing or mobility is based on that person's past life actions (i.e. karma). For instance, a person born with cerebral palsy in this life most likely did physical harm to another person in their previous life. What we do now in this life determines the shape our physical life will take in the next life. I'm quite certain my dad, who dealt with multiple sclerosis in his life until he passed away in 2009, will be dealt with great circumstances in his next life. Great song, Stevie Wonder!!!

I never appreciated this song when it was popular way back 2005- 06. I always heard it singing by local bands in Manila. This song was a fave of my (now ex) boyfriend back then.
