Was the time this album was released (1997) a bad period for Bobby and the band? The lyrics are very dark. Love this album and the subsequent ones Necroshine, Bloodletting and Killbox 13.

LOL! Dude...check out the albums "Taking Over", "Horrorscope", "Ironbound" etc., etc. (okay, might as well say "all of their albums") 'Dark lyrics' are kind of the norm for Overkill. Thankfully, they are not really known for 'happy happy, joy joy' tunes (except for perhaps stuff like "Old School") :)

Yeah i know, i have all their discography; the lyrics have always been dark and "pessimistic" but in that period i think they are even more. Take for example "I, Hurricane" this one or "Half Past Dead"...much sadness and despair in the lyrics. Anyway, can't wait to hear the new album. Sadly i have missed them when they played in Europe last month.

Bobby was diagnosed with cancer after release of "From The Underground..." Therefore his darkest lyrics are on Necroshine, and on Bloodletting lyrics are vile and agressive, because he battled that cancer and won. He was talking about it in some interviews.

Good Ear on that and the answer is "YES" except for the timing pauses & they omit the 3rd part of it on Symphony - wheres Overkill just plows through it - not stopping "1-2" & no 3rd...Good Catch that I'd never realized before. \m/
