Just discovered your presentation, thank you ! I am building my first ever flight sim. Research for about 2 months on as much as possible. This week (5-2024), I have parts coming in for a top notch PC (i9 intel - 4080 GPU etc.), AND, ordered the full flight seat pro and flight desk you have there. This will be a 3 / 55" screen @ 4k system. My last thing waiting on is a force feedback control wheel! Not released yet, but signed up on a waiting list LOL.

I have the older version of the Flight Stand and it works really well. I can fold it up with most of the stuff still attached and store it in my closet.

I have really been considering getting a cockpit setup and have to say glad I waited. I like the modular setup of this (get the stand first, then the seat). Just trying to determine something like this would have enough mounting options for all of my hardware (can you purchase additional arms to mount to the stand, etc).

NLR is killing it for us simmers. Actually will be ordering my Boeing Commercial ‘pit within the next few weeks. Cannot fly without their HF8 and has held up with daily use since it released. Thanks for the vid Overkill!

@@OverkillSimulations can you measure the height of each seat bottom from the floor and report back? Also can the wheels be removed from the Pro Flight?

@Jacobes yes I will but they're about the same Yes the wheels can be removed

Thank you for the good info , I sure wish mouse-pad trays were adjustable to the other side for us lefties. Also would be nice to see the keyboard in more of a useable location for games not involving 💯 flight.

Config with a collective and throttle without having to make a bunch of changes. Most of us like to fly jets and rotor wing.
@cre8ive34 Жыл бұрын
How would us rotary flight enthusiasts set us a virpil collective and a throttle quadrant on the chair side? Is there mounting options for a collective and enough adjustment to move the throttle out of the way of the operation of the collective? I'm also bigger lime you, 220lbs. Does the rig feel quality and not cheap?

Sold out and the articles they sent out to emails on it did not have the links needed to get the combined set, now I gotta return the stuff I just got for the boeing edition I was gonna order. Guess Ill look for something else now. Needs green straps EDIT so it shows in stock but when you try to order it wont add it says they have 5 but guess they wanna keep em. Cart system is broke at the moment it wont allow cart to be viewed.

That's odd. It's working for me now
@StuartBoyer Жыл бұрын
@@OverkillSimulations They probably fixed it? I tried for an hour straight. Finally got one by using guest checkout which works no problem. EDIT still broken, it say "The items in your cart has been removed due to stocks availability." and the page is blank and wont let me view my cart. Counter says I have 6 items in cart and I can keep adding more but cant view or remove anything. Does this in chrome and Edge. Guess I'll have to make a whole new account or contact the company.

Great video showing all of the different features. I think that you are going to need a bigger place to set everything up though.

1) They jacked the price in just two months since this video was released. 2) It's not available. 3) The comments below are disturbing on quality and customer support. Are there better options out there?

Awesome video! Here in Canada, the Flight Pro setup is about $450 CAD more than the Boeing rig with tax. I'd use it for DCS/IL 2 and racing games. They are charging $799 CAD for the Pro Seat and $699 for the Stand, so about $1,665 CAD with tax. Actually after watching this video, I think I'll just get the Flight Pro stand as I have a very expensive office chair, and this will allow my HOTAS and TM wheel to be installed at the same time. I assume the height of just the stand is adjustable (where you'd fasten your side-mounted HOTAS)?

You are going to have a difficult time deciding which cockpit to keep all of your gear mounted on. I assumed DOF for motion so was surprised to see this review.

The center joystick mount for the seat is a bit odd. Why is it so high? Is there an option to install it lower, e.g. if I use an extension on my stick?

Oh, I just checked the video on their homepage, it seems like there is also a mount at the lower beam. Nice.

Been a week now. Company isn't replying to emails about my account preventing me from ordering, hasn't sent the product I did order on a guest account, and wont answer any emails period. Was this a preorder and they just didn't say that and only sent influencers rigs? EDIT: got mine finally and they finally answered an email about no tracking info but still never answered my other emails with questions about the product and the ones about the poor quality set I finally received.

Welp it arrived and its a mess. Bought the full set, seat and stand. Has QC issues, wait for a sale or them to hire new QC guy or Powder coat supplier. Powder coat was severely scratched in big spots prior to packaging in bubble wrap and will need to be repainted to prevent rust at the bottom rail of the chair. They left in a cross threaded bolt that had the head filled with powder coat so it had to be removed with a pair of pliers, I assume this was used as a hanger during coating. One of the washers had a huge chunk missing, almost enough to make the washer unusable. Some items where welded at a slight angle that was supposed to be straight that the seat rest on so I had to readjust them flat with a mallet, coating flaking off on edges of some parts. Lots of small nicks on several parts. Box within a box was crushed flat and in pieces , obviously from being placed in the box badly and having heavy parts tossed on top of it, luckily this was the straps so the contents weren't damaged. All this and I'm not even half way through assembly and still have parts to open and check :( At least the one I got, sample size of one, isn't worth the over 1000USD they charged. I won't do business with them again.

@OverKillSimulations this may be a good solution for my Apache simpit. I was gonna scratch build a plywood set up but for 1000 bucks it's a good starting point to build off of. I don't plan on including motion so how would you recommend mounting at 49 inch monitor to this new setup?

The stand in my set is even worse than the issues with the chair I mentioned before. Arrived so badly damaged and missing parts that they are unusable paperweights, reached out to the company and they are ghosting me so far. 1000+ dollar waste. Resulting to trying to reach them on their youtube channel at this point, may have to upload a video of how damaged it is to catch their eye. Chair might can be saved with replacement parts and paint to prevent rust but the stand is in a state that can not be fixed at all.

They finally got back with me and said they were gonna get together with management, QC, RnD team and the shipping company and get back to me in 1-2 days.....
@timbowling22402 ай бұрын
@@StuartBoyer Do you have an update?
@StuartBoyer2 ай бұрын
@@timbowling2240 They sent a replacement in the exact same method and with poor packaging and again it arrived damaged. Had to spend my own money for repairs and use parts of both both to eventually get one working chair. They stopped replying and left me on my own. Though I got it to eventually work I am disappointed in the chair. For a small guy like me, the setup isn't ideal, it has bad joystick placement for winning peripherals and the stand sucks for holding the Winwing MIP setup as it puts it too close to the center joystick no matter what position you use. The side joystick mount is too far out. Had to buy a 200 dollar set of joystick QD connectors and mod them to make the side joystick closer to me and more viable. If your a big guy, close to 6 ft the chair may work but for smaller people it's best to get something else.

The idea is for developers to get genuine feedback and so you get to make an educated decision before using your money. You'll find both negative and positive comments in my videos as well as a comparison to the previous cockpit they put out. Also yes the cost is "free" but to give you some insight, this video in particular was almost 20hrs of assembly, review, editing, and setup. And the review process isn't even over. Next is configuration, trial, placement adjustment and more recording and editing. These videos are a lot of work and a lot of time. Not putting anyone on blast and please don't read this as defensive. I'm literally trying to provide insight into what we do and the time it takes. Throw an hourly wage into that and free isn't so free anymore. :) Hope that helps a bit because we really do this with our viewers in mind. AFTER the review process yes we get to enjoy it too.. after the time is spent making the videos:)
