Thank you for your kind words and now not long until you start your own OT adventure. We hope you are blessed with great weather :-) Remember to look where you have come from and not just where you are going - take care, T & T

Not sure if this is too late for you, but it looks like a lightweight lock for your pack is helpful to keep the birds out of your food, especially if you leave your pack on trail for a side trip. Have a blessed trip

Hi Warren, thank you we were fortunate to have no birds in our packs thanks to the small slide lock carabiners we used. Unfortunately we did see a few packs not so fortunate on the track.

Thanks for the info Tan and Tom, we're really keen to keep our load low weight for when we hike the overland at the end of this year. I'm would like to know your clothing list especially for a female - love to hear Tan's research on low weight products/ brands and how many items of each and what you found was essential clothing after being on the trip. I'm aware that weather would play a huge factor but did you wash your clothes during the hike? What were you wearing when you bathe in the rivers or did you skinny dip :)

Hi Tan & Tom, Its grate to see your gear and sharing the experience of preparation. I see in previous comments you mentioned about a spreadsheet with more information about gear & etc. will you be able to share it ? Three of us planning to do OT early next year and looking forward to bring down our packs weight down to 15kg limit. TIA. Cheers

Wipes are not biodegradable. They have the half-life of plutonium. Just go “naturale” for a couple of days ffs

Thanks Paul, we'll do further research before the next big multi day to see what else is out there as a replacement, note these were sold as biodegradable and eco friendly from a reputable hiking shop & we do follow principles of 'leave no trace'. From Tan's view point, 6 days for a woman without keeping the area down there clean leads to other problems so each to their own. Happy hiking :-)
