If your stove is butane, that’s where your problem is at. Butane doesn’t like high altitudes or cold temperatures. Propane, I’ve had my coleman stove work up to 7000 feet no issues at all..

thanks for the thought. it is propane, and apparently a known issue with this model of dometic stove. frustrating to say the least.

Very nice. Nothing wrong with the stove the problem is just the fact of fuel and oxygen mix. Higher altitudes have less oxygen which affects air fuel mix.

that's what i figured. it just seems they could include an adjustment on the stove for when you inevitably camp at higher elevations :)

It would be a pain but you could probably order different burner orfices for the burners to put in when at elevations or 5000 feet.
