Exploring the abandoned mining regions of central Arizona with a tundra, Tacoma and land cruisers. Prime overlanding with a bit of gold metal detecting in between some good four wheel crawling!

Dude, you are such a breath of fresh air in this “overlanding” community. I love the history, I love the commentary, I love the peace, and your pups are cool too. This is the stuff KZbin was made for, not like so many other wayward channels who have fallen into the pit of consumerism. Thank you.

Really happy to hear you say that because I’m trying to move in a direction from all the other channels spewing garbage no one cares about. Just putting out content people can enjoy without shoving products in faces. Appreciate that support

Another awesome piece of work son. But really, couldn't you find some more challenging roads then that. 🤪Are you kidding me. Nasty country, now you know why prospectors grow old fast. But you pulled it off. Good to see Bailey show up just in time. Love ya Pa...❤

It was rough but sometimes I need to get back out into that kind of terrain to remind myself what it’s all about. I know you know all about that. Love you pops

Thanks for all the history you provide of the areas. You should have 50K in subscriptions, keep it up, it will happen.

Gotta' admit..You are persistent. Don't change that. Feeling ya on the side by sides, anything for bling, but they faded off. I enjoy the channel, the history, The Pup, your attitude and am waiting for the " YEE HAW " nugget.

Thank you as always. Maybe soon enough I can share my experience finding that first nugget, fingers crossed!

Great job on your filming and editing. I will say my favorite part is the history you give on the areas you travel. Hearing the history of these remote areas really draws me to see it and experience it in person.

The Equinox 800 is a great metal detector but it has a learning curve. It isn't one of those just turn it on and go detectors. If you can find shotgun shell shot while looking for gold, then you are doing good. I have not taken my 800 out yet using the smaller coil to look for gold yet. I just bought myself a Tundra crewmax TRD and went up Redington Road with it and it beat me to death. Guess I need to put a shell on it to help soften up the rear springs. Dropped tires down to 33 and it helped a little bit.

I certainly wasn’t ready for all the tech this machine packs in, but slowly learning through some good tutorials. Would definitely like to learn more from someone with experience if you’d ever want to meet up and get out on some claims? The main road up Redington is in worse shape than I’ve ever seen it. I’d suggest buying a portable compressor to drop tires down closer to 20-25 if possible but that does all depending on how much rubber you’ve got! Someone once told me every 10 psi you take out of your tires is equivalent to $5k in suspension. It’s crazy what softening up those rubbers can do.
@toddhoffmaster60575 ай бұрын
@@Whitedogoverland it is an ‘08 with 35’s and a 2” lift. This was the worst that I have seen it. I will try dropping it even lower to 20psi and see how it does. Whenever you want to get together to learn more about the 800 just let me know. I am retired now, so I can go any time.

@toddhoffmaster6057 sounds like a killer rig, would love to check it out, I don’t often come across many other built tundras. Curious how I can get in contact with you off of KZbin. By chance are you on Instagram? Facebook?

Bro, do you ever get worried about Mila getting bit by a rattlesnake or anything? Just curious because I am barely getting into overlanding. Just got a tacoma and I want to take my dog with me but wildlife worries me lol.
@Whitedogoverland5 ай бұрын
Yes and no, she’s been snake trained and I take her to work every day (I work on ranches) so she gets a lot of exposure to snakes. I would definitely recommend doing a snake avoidance class, they really do work.

You didn't read your history lesson fully. It's the guys that sold the gold miners their equipment that struck it rich. It's a great hobby all be it an expensive one. Keep exploring you'll find it ...
