My Life in Africa

My Life in Africa

Күн бұрын

With months of planning and 1000's of kilometres apart 4 KZbinrs decided to go on a journey together into one of the remotest regions in Africa, the Central Kalahari Game Reserve (CKGR). Not only did we enter the CKGR, but we transversed it's great plains from North to South. A journey that took us 12 days to complete with plenty of challenges in the way. From rain, to capturing wildlife at it's very best in terms of kills, punctures and far far too many snakes, it was an adventure second to none.
In this episode we change camps from Kori Camp in the Deception Valley and head to Sunday Pan. A camp a mere 26km from Kori yet a vastly different area all together. A vast pan usually known for it's dryness, it's endless skies, and campsites so close to the wild you can touch it.
We start this journey in the rain, arrive at camp in the rain, drive through mud like i have never seen in the Kalahari, but, with the rainfall ALWAYS comes great reward, our reward was amazing for being hammered by the rain all day. It's amazing how fast things can change in this remote landscape, yet fast it is.
Sunday Pan will always remain a favourite place for me, always remain entertaining and rewarding, regardless of what you see or don't this is SUNDAY PAN...
I hope you enjoy this video as much as we enjoy bringing it to you...

Your park ranger run away vehicle story reminds me of, when I was young and got pulled over by a copper. He got out of his car and as he walked toward me, his car started moving in reverse. I yelled at him that he should catch it but he was looking at me and getting pissed thinking I was drunk. Well, it was 10AM (thank you very much) and by the time he got to me window and caught into what was happening, ran back. By this time the car had lucky for him turned on its own and backed into an empty parking lot, coming to a stop as it hit a tree as well. What would we all do without trees to preventing us all from disaster. Bastard was so pissed off he forgot why he pulled me over and told me to drive safe and let me go. Or was he just too damn embarrassed of what just took place?😁 Great video, just wanted to share a laugh. Will be in Botswana in a week and love following you and the others who have given me valuable info and inspiration. Thx! Be safe out there

An epic sighting to be part of, the CKGR is vastly different in the different seasons, winters are awesome but bitterly cold in the mornings and evenings, summers are extremely hot and you can expect a lot of rain. Somewhere in the middle would be great, April to May and September to October also good...but in general it's always amazing...
