All you would need is a small pet carrier or a 5 gallon bucket. Fill them up with beer and put the carrieror bucket in the stream attacked to a wratchet strap placed around a small sapling or tree root located nearby the waters edge.

I’m just now getting into over landing. Any idea of anyone in NC that organizes rides? Also needing some tips and suggestions on gear I’ll need. Thanks.

We didn't really have to use any special gear or anything when we went just a tow strap. If you get on NC Overland on Facebook there's always people on there trying to organize rides.

And if you're just talking about gear for overlanding in general we are just starting out ourselves and every family's needs are different I basically have in my WJ a couple of totes that carry my recovery gear and keep some food dry. Need something to cook on if you're wanting to actually camp. A cooler will work to keep your food in for the cold stuff a fridge freezer is ideal but it takes funds to get stuff like that LOL
