Another great video. Adventure starts when the plan ends - priceless

Thank you. Wish I could say I came up with it. But it did some up the weekend pretty well.

A small group of us went to KOFA Feb 1st thru the 6th. Found the same problem with road closed signs. Still had a blast. Great video. Thanks

Thank you. I think they block different trails every now and then to help it recover. Still a little frustrating though. Lol. 🤠

We first did this overland trip in 1999 in a 1996 Bronco XL (owned once by state Calif.) ordered with traction lock 3:73 rear, 351 , automatic. We started our trip from Harquahala valley , thru Clanton well, then west then south to enagizer pass west again to hwy.95 . Very long day thanks to a 35 gallon gas tank. Other time we came in from north from stone cabin to Kofa monument , then Wilbanks cabin also long day ( take food and water)

@@TheIronRide Have you done overland from Ludlow, Ca. Mojave desert, crossing Broadwell dry lake north to Bacon strip a few survival cabins here. Then near by megaphone , to rail road tracks west to Afton canyon and starting point from Mojave Road last but not least water crossing, camp ground there at water crossing

Note the Arizona topographical maps road numbers do not match Kofa's trail numbers .

I did not notice that. Good to know

Entertaining interaction, enjoyed the video. What time of year was that camp trip? How were night temps? See any issues taking a small off-road trailer?
@TheIronRide3 жыл бұрын
Thank you for joining us through KZbin. We went December 1st of last year. I don't remember the Temps but we were using our buddy heater. Well not so much the second night cause the heater wouldn't work. (Turns out it had something to do with the hose). It was cold at night but not freezing. You could definitely take an off-road trailer. We didn't come across anything to technical and I've seen KZbinrs who have taken a trailer through KOFA (Lifestyle Overland).

@@TheIronRide appreciate the info. I follow Kevin too. They turned us on the Enchanted Rockies Trail in NM. We did parts of that in Sept. Check out my humble video if you’d like. Definitely recommend that area. Got cold at night but nothing a good sleeping bag couldn’t handle

I read a few blogs about overlanding in Mexico. What do you think? I suspect the adventure may not be worth the risk.

I've seen a few vlogs overlanding in Mexico. Definitely some amazing views. We are not ready for that adventure yet though. I hear too many stories lol. I don't want to say never but I don't see it in the near future.

Did the suspension fix work?
@TheIronRide4 жыл бұрын
hmmm. That is a good question. We didn't hear it anymore. But to be fair the rest of the trail was pretty flat and easy. Didn't find a place to get a good test. I'll be listening good on our next adventure. I'll let you know. :-)
